Waldeck Creek Studio Loft
Description
We welcome you to our traditional working artist's studio featuring high ceilings and north light through a bank of large windows showcasing a panoramic view of farm fields. This 1100 sq ft refurbished studio includes a living area, small kitchen, bedroom and 1.5 baths. Our hope is that this unique, peaceful setting will inspire creativity for writers, artists, and other creatives along with an opportunity to relax with their partner. The space The Waldeck Creek Studio Loft is a privately accessed portion of our home. We live on the main level, and you may hear the normal, generally low level noise of our family's daily routine. If you are interested in taking a walk or hiking during your stay we have 2 options for you. The farm lane behind the house will take you to our rustic family cabin situated in the woods. You can enjoy our porch swing, the old fashioned water pump and even an outhouse! There is also a path in the field directly in front of our house that leads to the Little Darby Creek. Please ask us for more information. Guest access Guests have access to an outdoor table and chairs in the front flower garden for use during the warmer months. Other things to note Welcome to my working art studio! I am Mark Gingerich, a contemporary impressionist painter in central Ohio. Monday-Friday you'll find me here in the studio painting, but we are glad to open the space up for guests on weekends. I have studied Plein Air painting for many years and am a Signature member of the American Impressionist Society. It is in this vein that I approach painting and work primarily in oils. For those who would be interested, I am offering guests the opportunity of a private art lesson in the studio space. The fee is $200 for a 2 hour lesson. Supplies are provided. I would be glad to offer harp lessons also with the historical Spanish renaissance harp. The fee is $50- for a 1/2 hour lesson.
