The space Spacious Lakeside Villa with Sauna, Loft, Private Beach & Family-Friendly Amenities Welcome to our cozy and well-equipped villa by the scenic Ärjänselkä area of Lake Oulujärvi – perfect for families, nature lovers, and those seeking peaceful lakeside relaxation. The villa features two bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a two-part loft upstairs, a combined bathroom/WC, and a traditional Finnish sauna. Enjoy modern comforts with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and fresh, drinkable tap water straight from the source. Sleeping arrangements for eight adults and a baby in the Villa: • Downstairs bedroom: 160x200 cm double bed • Upstairs bedroom: one 80x200 cm single bed • Upstairs loft lounge: two 80x200 cm single beds and three 80x200 cm "floor beds" • Living room: extendable wooden sofa bed with two mattresses (combined size approx. 110x180 cm) • A baby Travel Cot • Additional mattresses available upon request The sleeping cabin serves as additional accommodation around the year. The beds in the sleeping cabin are: • Two 80x200 cm beds • An upper bed (loft bed) measuring 140x200 cm, suitable for children. Villa downstairs Bedroom 1: High-quality 160x200 cm double bed, overhead storage cabinets, and a window with a peaceful view of the surrounding blueberry forest. Living Room: Warm and inviting with a fireplace, sofa, two armchairs, and a traditional extendable wooden bench that can be used as an extra bed – ideal for kids. Large south-facing windows provide a stunning view over the open waters of Lake Oulujärvi. Kitchen: Fully stocked for your cooking needs, including: • Large refrigerator • Microwave • Convection oven and stove • Dishwasher • Coffee maker, electric kettle, hand mixer • Double waffle iron • Dining table with bench seating for 6 + an extra chair Bathroom/WC: Accessible from the terrace. Includes toilet and shower in the same space. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and toilet paper are provided. Towels are included in the optional linen package. Sauna: A cozy indoor wood-burning sauna connected to the bathroom. The large stone heater delivers soft, steamy heat for a truly relaxing Finnish sauna experience. Upstairs Bedroom 2: One 80x200 cm single bed. A chest freezer is also located in this room. Two-Part Loft Lounge: • One side has two 80x200 cm single beds • The other side features three "floor beds" (thick foam mattress + memory foam mattress pad), a bookshelf with books, board games and toys for kids Outdoor Area • Large parking space for several cars • Garden swing • Covered BBQ area with firepit, grill grate, sausage sticks, and benches • Yard games provided (Mölkky, dartboard, pétanque) Private Beach Enjoy your very own sandy shoreline, including: • A dredged swimming area with approx. 2 meters depth at the end of the pier • Gradually sloping sandy beach with natural wave-sculpted sand dunes • Pedal boat for four people • Stand-up paddleboard (SUP) • Two-person canoe • Life jackets for adults and children This family-friendly villa offers a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and traditional Finnish charm. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire villa, the covered BBQ area, the yard, and the private beach. Other things to note The following essentials are provided for guests: Hand soap Dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel Toilet paper Basic spices Cooking oil A linen package is available for €18 per person (charged when booking). It includes: Bath towel Hand towel Face towel Pillowcase, duvet cover, and fitted sheet A final cleaning fee of €100 is also charged at the time of booking. You are welcome to bring your own bed linen and towels, and you may also choose to do the final cleaning yourself. If you prefer either of these options, please mention it in the message field when booking. We will then send you a booking modification request with the adjusted price. EV charging: The villa has an electric vehicle charging option via a 3-phase power socket. Guests must bring their own charging cable compatible with the socket. EV charging is €20 per stay. If you plan to charge an electric vehicle during your visit, please let us know in the message field when booking. We will send a booking modification with the updated total including EV charging. Early check-in or late check-out is possible if the next visitor is not arriving at the same date. Ask this option with 25€ fee. Other things to note: Basic fire-making skills are needed for using the sauna stove, indoor fireplace, BBQ shelter, and outdoor firepit.
