Oceanfront cabin
Oceanfront cabin
Description
Keur Tawfekh on Ngor Island is a traditional guest house ideal for adventurers and surfers. Without luxury or modern comfort, our original living spaces favor simplicity and authenticity. A stone's throw away from the best surf spots, it offers a warm atmosphere where art, exchanges and discoveries meet. Perfect for souls in search of a change of scenery and real experiences. The space Our home is located on a large plot on the island, on the side of the cliff and ocean. This is our place of life, we sleep there, we work there and we share there. The beach of the bay is 50 m away The 4 cabins are isolated at the back of the house, quiet (except for the sound of the waves), facing the ocean. Only Airbnb tenants are allowed to access this part. In the middle there are the common areas, our 2 private bedrooms, the 2 outdoor lounges and our art gallery. At the entrance the small garden and our family farm, a few sheep and chickens. There is a front access that leads to the beach and a rear access (inaccessible in the evening for safety) that overlooks the cliff and the ocean. Guest access There are many spaces to share or isolate yourself depending on the mood of the moment. During your stay There's always someone there. Me and my wife or Moustapha. We are always just a phone call away. Other things to note WiFi is available in limited and on-demand. It's a free connection sharing. Ideally, we recommend that you buy a SIM card at the airport. It costs 1000 CFA francs. Then you can load credit and turn it into a pass from any store. We are powered by solar panels. Your phones can be charged from 9am to 5pm in our room. We can't charge your computers. The bathroom is minimalist. You fill your bucket at the entrance to the shower and you have it with a jug. The shower is outside. There is no water heater. The toilet is a "Turkish" toilet. It's a matter of hygiene. It's easy to wash them several times a day. There is no housekeeping staff at the house. We take care of the whole household ourselves and count on you not to get excessively dirty. Please also do not store food in the bedrooms at the risk of attracting and retaining an army of ants. The kitchenette is ultra basic. There is no fridge. You can also contribute to share lunch or dinner with us. You will find 3 shops on the island where you can buy basic products. Otherwise there are shops in the village of Ngor on the mainland and supermarkets within walking distance. At home everything was done by our hands little by little. We started from a ruin and we are modestly trying to improve it (knowing that we are tenants...). It is not the great luxury but we try to make you feel good. Our house is modest but it is a peaceful and rejuvenating place for those who appreciate simplicity.
