Small cozy cottage, ideal for a disconnection in nature. The loft chalet, "La Pause", is a short walk from Lake Selby, in the village of Dunham, in the heart of the Eastern Townships. It offers access to the lake, a 2-minute walk away, where you can get into the water using the boats (kayaks and paddleboards). The cottage also has a private courtyard with an outdoor fireplace and an indoor wood stove making it the perfect place for an evening by the fire. The space Surrounded by nature and mountains, and close to several villages like Sutton, Bromont, Frelighsburg, this cottage is the perfect place for calm, disconnection or even remote work. You will be seduced by the tranquility of the lake and the countryside. Access to the lake is only a 2-minute walk away (semi-private access). Two kayaks and two paddleboards are available for exploring the lake. The lake tour on foot is also possible via a beautiful forest. In winter, you can enjoy the lake by walking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, or even ice fishing. This chalet is ideal for single people, couples, friends or small families (maximum 4 people). **At the moment, it is NOT suitable for families with small children, due to the mezzanine and beds at height for safety reasons.** Guest access The chalet is located in a peaceful area. Just a 5-minute drive from the village, you will find various amenities: general store, restaurants, gas station, pharmacy, bakery, cheese shop, and much more. The Dunham area will seduce you with its many vineyards that offer tastings, as well as its farmers markets, microbreweries, antique shops and gastronomic experiences. The area is a haven for lovers of local discoveries. Neighboring villages, such as Sutton (20 min.)Bromont (30 min.), and Frelighsburg (10 min.), also offer a variety of restaurants and activities. On the sports side, you will find everything nearby: canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, cycling, fishing, hiking, golf, mountain biking, downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking... and much more! Other things to note *IMPORTANT* The chalet is NOT suitable for people with reduced mobility, with a recent injury or of a certain age. There is a ladder to access the mezzanine with the main double bed. Only one single bed is accessible without having to climb the ladder. For safety reasons regarding the mezzanine and raised beds, the chalet is NOT yet suitable for families with small children. A car is required to access this charming chalet, as there is no public transport or taxis available, and nothing is within walking distance.
