This is a 200 years old villagehouse, with new kitchen and bathroom. Enjoy your stay in this historic house. Outside, the most beautiful nature is waiting for you. Walking distance to hotels, restaurants, grocerystore, cafè and Loen Skylift. The space The house is located on a hill next to the church in Loen, with a walking distance to most facilities and a beautiful view of the fjord and the surrounding mountains. The 200 years old house is preserved in its original style. Loen is located at the foot of the Jostedal glacier national park, and is known for mountain hiking and many other activities – among others Loen Skylift, which takes you 1011 meters up to mount Hoven. From Hoven you can watch the surrounding mountains, valleys, the glacier and the fjord, and have your lunch or dinner. It`s magnificent! Loen Active is a.o. renting climbing gear for the Via Ferrata route and bicycles. We also recommend a tour through the Lodalen valley, with its nearly untouched nature and special history. In 1905 and 1936, enormous rockslides from mount Ramnefjell hit the water and washed away the small villages of Bødal and Nesdal. Totally 136 people died. Today, you will get a fantastic view of the valley from the waterside with the boat MS Kjenndal II – passing mount Ramnefjell and ends up at restaurant Kjenndalstova. Guest access Our guests will have access to the groundfloor and first floor. On the groundfloor, you`ll find the livingroom, kitchen and bathroom. A quite steep staircase takes you to the first floor, with to bedrooms. You go through one bedroom to get to the other. The staircase may be sheltered for small children by a gate in both ends. Give us a notice if needed before arrival. Also note that one bed in bedroom 1, is only 182 cm long. You also have your own garden-spot, and car parking at the backside of the house. As landlords, we live in the house right beside.
