City of Rocks Retreat-Sage Yurt (pets welcome) AC

Enjoy all the fun of camping under the stars with a soft bed and protection from the elements. The Sage Yurt features an amazing secluded location at the entrance to the City of Rocks. Enjoy year round comfort with cold ac on summer days and heat during cold nights. Microwave, counter, and mini fridge make meals easy. Sit around the fire pit at night and gaze at the amazing star filled sky. The Sage Yurt has electricity and plugins. Pets ok with fee. Bring your own bedding for the mattresses. The space The Sage Yurt is tucked in the Cedars and Pines at the base of Green's Mountain. With Private access to the mountain trails it's like owning your own Mountain! 2 adults and 6 children are included in the cost. Don't list your children so you aren't charged for extra people. Guest access Guests have the Entire Yurt and the camping area next to it. Outdoor shower is available nearby May-Oct as well as a potable hydrant. Access is a short gravel drive to the right of a red train boxcar back in the Juniper and Pinion trees. Please do not disturb tent campers at nearby tent sites. No outside music or excess noise allowed. A key-less entry deadbolt is used to access the Yurt. We will send you a 4 digit pin the day before your stay. 2 adults and 6 children are included in the cost. Guests can access an old trail leading up the mountain to Rat Rocks. A family favorite for picnicking. There is no running water. There is a sink with a water drain and a water container with a spigot that can be filled at a nearby hydrant for washing etc. Other things to note A restored antique outhouse is located just above the Yurt for toilet use. It is clean and well ventilated. Toilet paper is provided. It is shared with other nearby campers at tent/Van sites 8,9,10. A Yurt is like a large tent. This yurt has upgrades like hard walls that are insulated, power, and plugins. You will need to bring everything you will need for your stay such as camping, sleeping, water(potable water hydrant available nearby), and cooking/eating gear. The Sage Yurt provides padded beds, outside firepit (firewood available to purchase 24/7 across the main road), heat pump with heat and ac, a table with 8 chairs, and a counter and cabinet to prepare and eat meals. Mini fridge is big enough for a Rock City pizza box and the microwave can be used to heat water or food. You are responsible for all water, food, and cooking supplies. The Yurt has 2 bunk beds and a leather 'queen' sofa bed. The bottom bunk is a double 'full' bed and the top is a single. 2 on bottom, 1 on top of each bunk bed, 2 on sofa bed, 8 total. All beds have a freshly cleaned vinyl covered foam mattress. You will need bedding or sleeping bags. Camp chairs are recommended for additional and outside seating. There is a picnic table and barbecue grill with propane just outside. There is currently no Wifi. At&t cell works great. No Verizon. Pets require a $5 pet fee to be paid at booking. Pets must be leashed at all times as they are not allowed to wander the property. 2 adults and 6 children are included in the cost. Extra adults have an additional fee. We also own City of Rocks RV across the road where there is water and electric. Outdoor heated shower is yours to use. It is located closer to the main road by the old Red Truck and the hydrant with your potable water. Please follow the rules on the outside of the shower. Shower is available roughly May-Oct but removed when it starts freezing at night.
