#5 1-Bedroom Cottage at Whippoorwill Acres

When traveling through northeast Missouri or southern Iowa, keep it simple at this charming cottage with stunning sunsets. The Cottages at Whippoorwill Acres were newly built in 2025 and are located at the junction of Highways 63 and 136 south of Lancaster, Missouri. Kirksville, MO is located 20 minutes to the south, and Bloomfield, IA is located 25 minutes to the north. We have six cottages on the property that accommodate 1-6 guests each. Please see our pet policy. The space Cottage #5 is furnished with a private bedroom with a queen size bed and a queen-size sofa bed in the living room area always fresh linens. The cottage includes a full bathroom with a full-size shower where you will find plenty of towels and washcloths available.​ The small kitchenette includes a microwave, mini-fridge and coffee pot. For your convenience, a starter supply of coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar is provided, so please feel welcome to make yourself a hot beverage or a glass of cold ice tea. You can also look forward to beautiful early morning sunrises and evening sunsets during your stay.​ Bring your folding chairs and enjoy the fire pit area available for evening gatherings. We encourage you to relax on the front porch in our rocking chair and take in the peaceful surroundings, as well as the occasional wildlife and birds that frequent the area. Guest access Guests access the cottages with a key found in a key lockbox. The lockbox code is provided to the guest the day of arrival prior to check-in. Other things to note Pet Rule: To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, please note that we require pre-approval for dogs weighing over 15 pounds. Additionally, we reserve the right to deny access to certain breeds, particularly those known to shed excessively. Kindly message us with details about your dog if it meets these criteria so we can confirm approval.
