VERY BASIC REMOTE BEAUTIFUL BUT NOT LUXURIOUS bothy in an idyllic situation 5 mins walk from sea. Bring own bedding and cooking stove. Basic pots crockery cutlery etc provided. Indoor toilet, indoor bath heated by solid fuel stove. Wood can be bought for £13 a bucket and will be left for you to use if you want. Suits kayakers, experienced hillwalkers and island baggers. Please see reviews for more feedback. No Ulva ferry on Saturday, and on Sunday only in June, July & August. The space For kayakers, island baggers, hill walkers, not suitable for car or public transport travellers due both to unmodernised bothy and 8 mile walk in from nearest road and the Ulva ferry (usually 9-5.30 M-F in summer (not Saturday, and Sunday only in July and August); and at 9 and 3.30 M-F only on school term days in winter). Ulva Ferry Community Bus runs some days from Salen to Ulva Ferry - please see their website. Almost always has cold running water, hot water & heat only from solid fuel stove.
