Kielie Cottage

This colourful and spacious place to stay is perfect for work or family trips. Smart 42 " TV inside bedroom. Self-catering with kettle, microwave, small induction stove, air fryer, fridge and freezer. Kitchen essentials are provided. A seperate enclosed sun patio with dedicated work space is provided. Private garden and patio, we provide 3 patio chairs and small BBQ with grid. The space We provide a light breakfast in the unit of filter coffee and rusks. The cottage is fully self-catering and stocked with rusks, coffee, tea, milk and cereals for breakfast. The basics for preparing your own meals like oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, hot sauce and cleaning materials, including dish washing liquid, are also provided. The cottage has a microwave oven, single induction plate, coffee plunger with coffee grounds, stove top espresso maker, kettle, toaster, crockery, pots and pans, cooking utensils, mini barbeque, cleaning utensils, etc. Extra kitchen items are stored in a cupboard. Clothes can be put in the extra large shelved cupboard provided. Clothes can also be hung on hangers on the clothing rack next to the large cupboards with space for your folded items below the hanging items. The queen size and single bed are extra length. The queen size bed is made with goose down duvet (tog 13.5) and brushed cotton sheets in winter. Three extra blankets are provided in the cupboard. Summer time we use cotton or percale linen and a 100% cotton duvet cover on a light duvet for the bed. One large towel with one smaller towel per guest are provided. The living room is a typical sun porch with four large windows that act like a heater in winter. We have block out curtains at all the windows for the warm summer months to block out the heat. The living room has plenty of opening windows to allow the room to cool down quickly when required. Two plush and very comfortable chairs in this room can be used to wind down after a hard day. The dedicated work space on the sun porch has a desk light and desk chair. The desk also has three drawers should you need them. The table at the entryway can be roped in to do double duty as an extension of desk space. The hosts, Marco and Stephanie, stay in the house next door. They are not too far away if you need something or need a bit of help. There is a large street light in front of the cottage and an external light at the door to light your path. You will be welcomed by us to the property and given a remote for the automated gate for use during your stay. We hope to welcome you soon! Guest access A granny flat on a plot where the guesthouse hosts are staying in a seperate house next door. Your own parking in front of the flat. We have two Jack Russel dogs, that also stay on the plot. A large warehouse and self storage is also on the same premises. Other things to note We are about 17km from Kathu town and 8km from Deben. Kathu has a lot of Take-aways, so please make sure you bring your dinner. Dibeng has a unique restaurant/pub called Doringdraad, that makes great meals.
