The space Casa della Montagna X by Tiny Away, just 55 minutes from Cosenza near San Giovanni in Fiore, sits lakeside in the Parco Nazionale della Sila. This holiday home retreat offers a gateway to the region’s attractions: the towering I Giganti della Sila, historic Castello di Santa Severina, and adventures on Monte Botte Donato. Steps from Brillo Parlante’s craft brewery, it combines modern comforts with Calabria’s high-altitude charm. Here, outdoor enthusiasts can try their hand at a variety of outdoor adventures: trekking, mountain biking/e-biking, kayaking, snow-trek, beer and wine treks with tasting of local products, and forest trekking and guided horseback riding on the shores of the lake. A comfortable, 221-square-foot accommodation is set in one of the best tiny house rentals and serene locations with abundant natural bushland, easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. The bathroom, however, follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (electric heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water by using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.
