Today, guests can explore the well-preserved paths and fortifications built by those soldiers, the largest and most intact in the Philippolis region. From atop the hill, take in breathtaking views of the Klipdrift Stream and Pool—famed as the spot where De Wet’s legendary horse, Fleur, quenched its thirst. After a day of exploring, unwind in your restored Karoo-style dorpshuis. Each home dates back to the era before the Anglo-Boer War (1899–1902) and has been lovingly brought back to life for your comfort and enjoyment. Embark on a journey where history, natural beauty, and hospitality come together to create an unforgettable experience.
