The Tuinhuis is one of 7 carefully restored Karoo townhouses, all fenced in. Your furry friend is as welcome here at the Philippolis Groenhuise as you are. * WALK on our farmland across from the Greenhouse reception, featuring Anglo-Boer War embankments, blue cranes, and a stunning view of the town. * SWIM in a pool that was once an irrigation fountain dam. * DRINK pure water sourced from boreholes up to 110 meters deep. The space The Tuinhuis consists of: - Bedroom 1: Queen‑size bed with en‑suite bathroom (shower). - Bedroom 2: Two single beds with en‑suite bathroom (shower). - Front porch with access to the front door. - Back porch with access to the bedrooms. - Basic self‑catering: bar fridge, kettle, microwave and some cutlery. No kitchen. - There is a braai at the lapa. Fire‑lighters and wood are for sale at reception. - Swimming pool next to the garden house. Children must be accompanied by an adult. - Covered parking behind a fence next to the garden house for your vehicle. Today, guests can explore the well-preserved paths and fortifications built by those soldiers, the largest and most intact in the Philippolis region. From atop the hill, take in breathtaking views of the Klipdrift Stream and Pool—famed as the spot where De Wet’s legendary horse, Fleur, quenched its thirst. Each home dates back to the era before the Anglo-Boer War (1899–1902) and has been lovingly brought back to life for your comfort and enjoyment.
