Red House with Garden

Welcome to our cozy red wooden house with a large garden, flat lawn and many apple trees – perfect for families! Sleeps 8 and bed linens are included! Here you live in a rural and peaceful idyll, about 10 minutes from Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby. The house offers a classic Swedish nostalgic feeling with plenty of room for play and relaxation. A charming and child-friendly accommodation in the middle of the fairy tale land of Småland. The space Entrance & hall You are welcomed by a charming hall with a hat shelf, storage and a door under the stairs. We have uncovered and soap-washed the beautiful original plank floors that run through the whole house. From the hall, you can reach both the stairs up to the upper floor and the entrance to the kitchen. Kitchen The kitchen has recently been renovated in a classic style with newly painted surfaces, beadboard and an old-fashioned wallpaper. Countertop in oak. There is a fridge, freezer, sink, stove, oven, fan, microwave and plenty of storage. Stove, oven and fan are older but fully functional. The floor here also consists of sanded and soap-washed original planks. Two windows in different directions let in plenty of light. Dining Room/Living Room From the kitchen, you enter a shared dining room and living room with dining table and TV. Windows face the garden. The room has an older yellow, old-fashioned wallpaper and the same well-preserved plank floor. Downstairs bedroom From here, you move on to a large bedroom with a double bed and two single beds – perfect for the family. The room has windows in three directions, a beautiful tiled stove (not in use), as well as a bay window facing the garden at the front. Top Floor Upstairs hall A spacious, beautiful hall that has previously been a kitchen. There is an old wood stove (not in use), newly painted panel in green color and William Morris wallpaper (Lemon Tree). Here too, we have sanded and soap-scrubbed the beautiful original floors. Shower & toilet (upstairs) From the hall there is a door to the shower room (with shower cabin). It is compact and, in all honesty, somewhat cramped but fully functional. Next to it is a separate toilet, also of older standard but fully functional. Bedroom 1 (upstairs) The first bedroom has two single beds, floral old-fashioned wallpaper and windows facing the garden. The floor is also original here, sanded and soap scrubbed. Bedroom 2 (upstairs) A large and bright bedroom with tiled stove (not in use), two large closets, newly wallpapered and newly painted. Beautiful original wooden floors. Balcony & extra hall From the large bedroom you reach a small hall that leads to a balcony overlooking the front garden. The hall connects the upper floor. Garden The plot is over 1,200 sqm with a flat lawn - perfect for play and relaxation - and nine apple trees that bloom beautifully in the spring and bear fruit in late summer. A real Småland idyll!
