Spacious guest house in village near Cambridge

A self-contained guest house in the heart of the picturesque village of Orwell. The village is very near Wimpole Estate (NT) for beautiful walks and only 15 minutes drive from the historic city of Cambridge. You have the place all to yourself with everything you need to relax in a quiet location, with parking outside the accommodation. The guest house has a large bedroom and separate lounge/dining room overlooking the stunning garden, a kitchenette and an ensuite shower room. The space Key features: - Self-contained detached annexe with own parking and EV charger; private patio overlooking the stunning garden - Heating and air-con provides comfort whatever the weather - Large bedroom with a luxurious emperor-size bed and blackout curtains and blinds; plenty of drawers and hanging rails for clothes - Working space with a desk and armchairs for the coffee breaks - Separate dining/lounge room with large Smart TV screen and sofa-bed which can accommodate one adult or two children; this light and airy room opens out onto the patio with expansive garden views - Kitchenette with large combination microwave/grill and plug-in induction hob; all kitchen equipment needed to cook meals; fridge with small freezer; washing machine and outdoor clothes line - Shower/bathroom with toilet, sink and heated towel rail - travel cot available on request Our annexe is very roomy for two people. The separate rooms offer flexibility. Extra guests can be accommodated on request. Location: Village shop opens every day and also has a post office. A selection of local village pubs and restaurants, including our very own Chequers pub/restaurant in Orwell. Wimpole Estate (National Trust) is a leisurely 45-minute walk through the woods or a 5-minute drive away. Royston station connects directly to Kings Cross and is a 12-minutes by car. Cambridge City centre, with an abundance of historic sights, museums, theatres, concerts and restaurants. Guest access There is a large patio and 2 chairs and a table for use by guests, overlooking our stunning garden. Other things to note For long stays, we require access to the guest house for a weekly clean, at an extra charge of £40 each time.
