It sleeps six, has bags of character (think beamed ceilings and cottagecore charm), and makes a brilliant base for beach days, country walks, and coastal adventures. Tucked away in the village of Studland, Vine Cottage is a cozy, Grade II listed home just a short walk from Studland Beach. It's a lovely spot for a self-catered stay, with space for six guests and a mix of original features and homey charm. The location is fantastic, and makes a brilliant base for beach days, country walks, and coastal adventures. There is off-road parking at the front for one car (two at a squeeze), so it’s easy to unload your things. Inside, the kitchen/diner is fully equipped for cooking, and there’s also a washing machine for sandy swimming costumes! The sitting room is a comfortable place to relax, with beamed ceilings, soft chairs, and an electric fire for those cooler evenings. The cottage has three bedrooms: a double, a twin, and a ground-floor twin, all with a shared ground-floor bathroom. In the mornings, you can pick up anything you need from a nearby convenience store before heading to the beach or stopping for brunch at the Salt Pig Café. If you like watersports, there’s plenty to enjoy, or you can head to Swanage Beach and Pier for a day by the sea. For a more active day, the Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve has some nice walking trails. There’s also the Dorset Adventure Park or Corfe Castle ruins to check out. Poole is nearby too, with things to see like the RNLI Poole Lifeboat Museum and Sandbanks Beach, plus shops and restaurants. Please note: This is an old fisherman’s cottage—with all the quirks that come with it. Expect low ceilings, uneven floors, and the kind of wonky charm you only get from a place that’s been standing for over two hundred years. If you’re tall, mind your head. It’s full of character, not polished perfection—more cosy hideaway than modern showroom. Please message us about shorter stays off season! Guest access Guests have access to the whole property. Other things to note There is a step up to the downstairs bedroom so unfortunately is not wheelchair friendly.
