Agrigento is a charming city located on the southern coast of Sicily, famous above all for its incredible history and archaeological heritage. One of its most famous places is the Valley of the Temples, an archaeological site that houses some of the best-preserved Greek temples in the world, such as the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Jupiter and the Temple of Hercules. These temples testify to the ancient grandeur of Akragas, the ancient city that stood there, founded in the 6th century BC. In addition to the temples, Agrigento is also a place rich in art, culture and traditions. The historic center of the city is picturesque, with narrow cobbled streets, baroque churches and charming squares. The sea view is spectacular, and the city also offers typical Sicilian cuisine, with fresh fish dishes, desserts such as cassata and traditional "arancine". Agrigento is also famous for its Regional Archaeological Museum, where you can admire artifacts that tell the long history of the city, from prehistory to Roman times. Another point of interest is the Garden of Kolymbethra, an ancient garden that is located within the Valley of the Temples and that, thanks to a recovery project, has become an oasis of greenery and tranquility. In general, Agrigento is a perfect combination of ancient history and natural beauty, a place where the past and the present intertwine in a fascinating way. Registration Details IT084001C2CXSHPXKQ
