Kingfisher Cove: Lakefront home with sunrise views

Step back in time at this beautifully restored 1870 inn, where historic charm meets modern comfort. Overlooking the stunning Cassadaga Lakes, with 4 acres of peaceful grounds, it is the perfect blend of timeless atmosphere and contemporary amenities. Paddle the premier kayaking waters of Western New York, hike old growth forests, explore the many nearby golf courses, visit Lily Dale and Niagara Falls, or snowmobile in the winter, then relax in updated style and enjoy the magic of the lakes. The space We happily welcome up to ten guests to enjoy the beautiful Cassadaga Lakes and the park-like setting of Kingfisher Cove. This home has six bedrooms with one king, one queen, two with full beds, a bedroom with two twin beds and a small bedroom with one twin bed. A queen-size futon bed downstairs provides sleeping space in the downstairs office for those who cannot comfortably climb stairs. (Note that the extra beds provide flexibility in sleeping arrangements, but the guest limit remains ten people). There are three full baths, one of them on the first floor, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a dedicated space inside for board and card games, and a shuffle board table as well. The home features beautiful outdoor space with four acres, including a dock, gazebo, firepit, a sun patio with loungers overlooking the lake, an apple orchard, and lawns for relaxing and enjoying the lake views and wildlife. Please be aware, however, that this home is in a quiet residential community and loud parties are prohibited. Kayaks and a paddleboard are provided for summer fun, and the dock can accommodate your own boat as well. For those who like to fish, the kayaks can get you on the water, or you can rent a fishing boat in town. The large driveway provides space to park a boat in the summer or snowmobile trailers in the winter. We are just a quarter of a mile from both the DEC boat launch and access to the local snowmobile trails. With lake-effect snows blanketing the area in the winter, Chautauqua County becomes a snowmobiler’s paradise with more than 400 miles of groomed trails over rolling foothills, open meadows and majestic state forests. Trails are generally open from January to mid-March depending on the weather, and are groomed by the Cherry Creek Snowgoers Club, providing smooth and safe riding. The Western New York area is known for its natural beauty with many nearby parks, lakes, deep gorges, and outstanding hiking and fishing. This area is also a major wine-producing region with multiple wineries, breweries and distilleries, many of which offer entertainment in addition to tastings. The National Comedy Center and the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum are 25 minutes away, while Niagara Falls is just over an hour away as well. For those interested in lifelong learning and the arts, the renowned Chautauqua Institution is only 40 minutes away with abundant summer programing and concerts. Of course, Cassadaga is also connected to Lily Dale, the oldest spiritualist community in the country, and Kingfisher Cove is only a ten-minute walk to the gates of the Dale. While we love your furry friends, we do not allow pets to visit Kingfisher Cove. Smoking of any type is strictly prohibited indoors, although there is ample outdoor space to enjoy during your stay. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire home and the grounds. Entry is via a keycode number pad at the door. Other things to note This home is located on Western New York's premier kayaking lake! The Cassadaga Lakes are a chain of three small lakes connected by waterways that have abundant wildlife and natural areas, making them among the most scenic lakes in New York. These lakes are great for fishing and all types of boating, and in the winter this location offers easy access to skiing, hiking and snowmobiling.
