There is an additional day bed in the living area/ sitting room space , a TV with Netflix & Amazon Prime with wifi connection throughout. The bathroom has modern fixtures and a claw-foot tub/shower. There is a private entrance with additional half bath . A private porch and use of the beautiful backyard. Lovely upstairs private rooms in a Victorian home with separate entrance and porch. Close to the Walkway Over the Hudson, to the Dutchess/Ulster Bike Rail-Trail system, the FDR home and library, Vanderbilt estate, and many other national historic sites and outdoor adventures. Guests are welcome to enjoy the beautifully landscaped back yard. parking for one vehicle on property. Please let us know in advance if there will be a second vehicle as there is alternate side of the street parking available, usually right out front. Taxi , LYFT, and UBER in the area We reside full time in the house and are available for any assistance for guests. Instructions for self check- in are provided prior to arrival. Communication is primarily by Airbnb app or text for contact free interaction. Most homes in our neighborhood are grand Victorian era homes with large lots on tree lined streets. It is wonderful to stroll the area and view some amazing architectural gems. There is easy access to the Metro North Railroad and Amtrak train station, and NYS Thruway. Poughkeepsie is home to Vassar and Marist Colleges and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), allowing for some great world class restaurants. We are within walking distance of restaurants and a local deli. We are also in very close proximity to Vassar Brothers Hospital and an Urgent Care facility. There are three shopping centers within a 5 to 7 minute drive of the house and we are located approximately a 1/2 mile or a 4 minute drive from downtown Poughkeepsie. Both UBER and LYFT as well as local taxi services are available in Poughkeepsie. Free Guest parking is available curbside or in the driveway. We can accommodate up to 2 vehicles on our property. Please let us know in advance if there will be a second vehicle. Street parking is available with alternate side restrictions which are posted on the street.
