Description

This cozy little 10' by 10' cabin in Strongwater Camping & Cabins is featured in the book "Builders of the BC Pacific Coast." Cabin 6 contains a double bed with bedside tables and lamps, a small bar fridge and a deck featuring a charming little bench looking out on the campground. Watch the friendly farm menagerie wander by. Pet the Guinea Hog, Jellybean. There is no bathroom inside the cabin but modern washrooms are very close by. The space Strongwater Cabins has 8 private, rustic cabins nestled within 7 acres of the beautiful, West Coast temperate rain forest. Each cabin sleeps 2 people and has a private entrance with free parking. Most cabins have cozy, comfortable beds, bedside tables with lamps, small tables with 2 chairs, and a mini-fridge. They have double doors and windows that open. Fans to cool in summer and heaters to warm in winter. All cabins have a deck/balcony with deck chairs, and most have a picnic table and firepit. A central Wash House provides a clean, modern washroom on either end of the building with hot showers, and flush toilets, and a dishwashing station in the middle with potable water for refilling your water bottles. There are also six campsites available for tents or RVs. These sites make camping as a group so much easier. Guest access Between noon and 3 pm each day, our guests are welcome to come to our yard at the top of the hill to meet our beloved free range animal friends. Jellybean the hog and Penelope the Chinese goose are a couple of the favorites. Strongwater is across the street from the trailhead to the Skookumchuck rapids, right next door to the Egmont Heritage Center (museum) and a short walk to the general store and the inlet with a view of the mountains. Other things to note Please pack out what you bring in. There are no bins. Please, do not bring in balloons, plastic straws, or single-use water bottles, and pick up your butts (the smoked kind) off the ground to protect our animals. Quiet time is between 11pm and 8am. We expect all to be respectful of other campers, our animals, our property, and Mother Nature. Registration Details Provincial registration number: Exempt
