Magnolia Lodge offers a great central location to explore all that South Devon has to offer - Dartmoor, Beaches, Countryside, Exeter & Plymouth It provides a great base for relaxing with it's enclosed garden, hideaway hut, patio, BBQ and Pizza Oven. It's really dog friendly with a utility, hot dog wash and enclosed garden as well as front field for walks and playing ball. If you just want quiet time it's great for crafting, reading or simply sitting in front of the wood burner! The space Magnolia Lodge is set within our 10 acre smallholding. The main accommodation comprises - Open plan Lounge/Diner/Kitchen - featuring a wood burner (with initial supply of logs provided) The lounge area has 3 sofas (one converts to a sofa bed - sleeping 1). Sideboard with a range of puzzles, children's books and board games. Smart TV with Sky. Dining area seating 6 with patio door leading to garden. A high chair is available. Bookcase housing a selection of tourist information, ordnance survey maps, walking books etc The lounge/diner has a solid oak floor. Oak breakfast bar, seating 2, leading to kitchen with range cooker (gas hob, with 2 electric ovens and grill.) fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. This area has travertine floor tiles. We supply the following - tea towels, oven gloves, dish cloth, scourer, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, kitchen cleaning spray, tin foil, cling film, a welcome pack including a supply of tea bags, instant coffee, sugar, hot chocolate and milk. 2 Bedrooms - carpeted. Master Bedroom (bedroom 1) has a queen bed, TV & DVD player, hair dryer. The ensuite shower room has a vanity unit, shower, WC, heated towel rail and mirror with lights and shaver point. 2nd Bedroom has zip and link beds which can be made up as a superking or twin, please state preference. TV & DVD Player We also have a travel cot which can fit in either bedroom. Family Bathroom with bath and shower over, vanity unit, wc and heated towel rail. Entrance Hall - with cupboard storing hoover, ironing board, iron, clothes horse, mop, dustpan and brush Utility Area - with washer/dryer and sink, washing basket, washing power, clothes pegs (a rotary clothes line is located in the garden.) Outside there is an enclosed garden, with our hideaway hut (out door covered seating area) and patio. Also available is a firepit, BBQ and pizza oven, stored in the shed, together with a range of children's outdoor play equipment. A dog shower, with hot and cold water is located just under the Laundry room/utility window. There is a recycling area for - glass, cans, cardboard, newspapers, plastic, food waste as well as a bin for non-recyclable items. Parking for up to 4 cars and access to EV charging if required (at additional cost) Guest access The whole space is available and visitors can also take a walk on our large front field, especially popular with our 4 legged guests. Other things to note Whilst the lodge is all on one level there is a step up into the lodge. An access statement giving full details can be provided on request. The lodge is in a rural setting and a car is necessary when making a booking. We have a secure site and access is via a security barrier operated by an ANPR camera. We will therefore require the registration plate of the vehicle you will be using during your stay. The Number 39 Stagecoach bus runs approximately every hour and can be caught, via Hail and Ride (Newton Abbot bound), by waiting at Stover School main entrance. Once in Newton Abbot you will then have access to other bus routes throughout Devon as well as trains.
