The perfect place to escape southern winter chills or tropical summer heat where you watch the platypus in the river or the birds in the towering ancient blue gums. The Snug will be your home for however long you are stay and we hope you'll be relaxed, comfortable and happy. The space Snug on the Millstream is self-contained studio set in a wildlife haven with direct access our own river frontage. Privately set in its own terrace garden space overlooking the orchard and river. You share the garden with more than 50 bird species recorded on the property including black cockatoos, banana birds, a myriad of honeyeater and parrot species, plus wrens and finches, and raptors. If you are feeling adventurous take our canoe or kayaks for a paddle along the Millstream to experience a pristine river world. The area boasts magnificent hikes, waterfalls and crater lakes with Millstream Falls National Park, Misty Mountains Waterfall Way, Lake Eacham and Savannah Trail nearby. Or indulge your tastebuds in the food experiences offered on the Tablelands including local cheeses from Mungalli and Gallo dairy cafes, locally grown tea and coffee, and farmers markets. And just 10 minutes from the historic town of Ravenshoe (the highest town in Queensland!), a hop from Yungaburra and Malanda and all the Atherton Tablelands offers.
