Our tiny home is ideal for Lincoln, Newark and their County Show grounds, Retford, Sherwood Forest. It’s also a quick walk to the river Trent. In the grounds of a Grade 1 listed Church. There are archaic graves within the gardens. It has a kitchenette suitable for basic cooking. A comfortable double bedroom & a small, lovely shower room. Smart TV & WiFi. Outside seating, fire pit/BBQ 1 dog (or 2 medium). EV charging available. Food at the pub Wed-Sun 12-8, Indian restaurant not on Tuesday The space Our tiny home St Oswald’s Snug is located in the Grade 1 listed church grounds. The tiny home in Dunham on Trent. Ideal for Lincoln, the show ground and the river Trent. St Oswald’s Sung is perfectly designed for a short getaway and is situated in the beautiful grounds of St Oswald’s Grade 1 listed Church. Our closed off gardens are part of the original churchyard. The Snug has a private, peaceful and dog secure garden overlooking over our Church and medieval tower. There are a number of archaic and interesting graves within the whole garden area. The tower has returning Peregrine falcons nesting in the spring and summer months; you maybe lucky enough to spot them. The Snug provides everything you need to relax and unwind or use as a base for exploring the area. We are a couple of minutes walk from the River Trent, ideal for fishing, dog walking and bird watching. We are 11 miles from the beautiful city of Lincoln. Sherwood Forest, Retford and Newark are approximately within easy reach. Our tiny home offers a relaxing and cosy environment. It has a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave oven, a portable induction hob, air fryer, a kettle and toaster. There is complementary tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk plus treats for the dogs. The sitting area has a sofa and access to a smart tv and Wi-Fi. The French doors provide a lovely view of the garden and the church. There is a separate double bedroom with quality linen and a comfortable bed. We have a small but lovely shower room with a toilet, shower, plenty of hot water and complementary shampoo, conditioner and body wash & electric toothbrush charger. The snug has central heating for the colder days/nights. We have a key safe for entry providing you flexibility. Outside in the large, secure garden area you will find a seating area and a fire pit/ BBQ (wood is provided but not coal). There are a selection of outdoor games. We do accept 1 dog (or 2 smaller/medium) dogs but bare in mind it is a Tiny home; please contact us as we are flexible).The dog is not to be left unattended. We request that your dog is not allowed on the bed. The garden is secure but we do ask that if you bring your dog to keep the gates closed. If you do bring your dog we provide covers for the sofa and bed (if they accidentally jump up on it!). Dogs are not to sleep on the bed without a blanket or cover. Due to the nature of our grounds, St Oswald’s snug does not provide disabled access. Food is available at the local dog friendly pub, The White Swan (Wed-Sun 12-8pm and the Indian restaurant, The Maharaj (closed on Tuesday). Local villages have a range of shops and takeaways. Guest access Guests have full access to the Snug and all of the garden area through the second wooden gate with the black arch towards the bottom of the garden. You are free to have contactless key entry or we are happy to meet you upon your arrival. Under the pine tree on the left side of the Snug is a large wooden box with a selection of garden games. Other things to note Please note this a tiny home so therefore compact. There are a selection of board games and cards, magazines and books; weather permitting, there are outdoor games such as croquet, Jenga, boules and bowls. If you wish to charge your car, it is £15 for midnight to 6am - arranged on site. There is one parking space for a car outside the arch. For vans and other vehicles, free parking is on the car park across the road. We supply wood for the fire pit but not coal. There is no shop in the village, the closet are in Tuxford and Saxilby. Takeaways and a large Coop are also available in both villages. Supermarkets are found in Retford, Lincoln and Newark.
