Newly listed as 7 person including new cabin. Located near Exeter, Beaches , Dartmoor and the English Riviera, great for exploring Devon. Beautifully renovated 1860 cottage. 4 bedrooms including a newly renovated tiny cabin (see photos). Lounge, large kitchen, 4 bedrooms - (King , Twin/King, Single and cabin), 3 bathrooms, utility room. Third bedroom downstairs with toilet and shower. Single bed with additional underbed which can be placed in same room (does make the room tight). The space Centrally located in a friendly village, with a pub and cafe that sells the basics of bread and milk. The property consists of a cottage which sleeps a maximum of 6 people and a cabin which sleeps 2. There are 4 bedrooms: The cottage has 3 bedrooms; Upstairs a large main bedroom with a king size bed and a twinroom which can be converted to a king on request. There is also a pretty bathroom with clawfoot bath. Downstairs there is a large kitchen with underfloor heating, a range cooker, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and 6 seater table. The lounge has two three seater sofas a TV, DVD player, WIFI, logburner and a range of DVDs, games and books. The third bedroom, a single ,has a pull out bed which can be made up on request-but which makes the room quite tight! There is a small shower room next to the utility room which houses a washing machine and the doors to the garden. The shower room / toilet is on the same level as the third bedroom. The stairs in the cottage are quite narrow and steep. The enclosed garden offers, pretty cottage garden, some seculsion, lawns, outdoor eating and a BBQ. The Cabin offers everything you need for a comfortable stay; fully insulated with underfloor heating, a bijou washroom with shower and toilet, a galley kitchenette with tiny fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and breakfast bar/work station. There is no TV in the cabin but guests can enjoy free use of the WIFI. The small double sofa bed sleeps 2. Guest access Guests have access to the cottage, and cabin in the garden, there is off road parking for one car and additional free parking outside the cottage. Other things to note History An 1860 cottage previously lived in by Fred, the village carpenter, for 90 years! We discovered all sorts of intesting items including the bellows and flat iron (by the fire), two shot guns and cigarette cards from the war. We uncovered lovely stone walls and a granite floor in the living room under layers of carpet. Fred was the village carpenter who lived at Woolacott for 90 years and used the cabin as his wood work shop. Recently renovated, the cabin is now a unique tiny house with a rustic log cabin feel. Sleeps 2 people on sofa bed and potentially additional 2 on the mezzanine. Woolacott Cottage sleeps an additional 6 people (making 8 total) and can be booked separately. The Cabin offers everything you need for a comfortable stay; fully insulated with underfloor heating, a bijou washroom with shower and toilet, a galley kitchenette with tiny fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and breakfast bar/work station. Many of the contents from the old workshop have been repurposed, the coffee table/ bedlinen box once held Freds carpentry tools and the round window looking out onto the road was originally the porthole in a ship.
