1800s Cozy Kitchen House

This award winning whimsical 1800s kitchen house that served the main house is walking distance to all town businesses and great for history and art lovers. Located on historic South Church Street, the property backs to Rose Hill Park, The Barns of Rose Hill music/art venue and the town government center/ library. Everything was chosen piece by piece with respect to the structure’s history with the addition of modern conveniences. Original narrow steps may be difficult for some guests. The space The lower level of the house is a living room with a kitchenette (sink, mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, kitchen supplies, Nespresso and pods, toaster oven, etc). The antique cabinet contains games, drawing supplies, yoga mat and light weights, extra linens, and cleaning supplies. The couch is a pullout full bed. There is a small table for dining. Upstairs there is a queen bed, books, night stands and lights and small drawer storage. Hangers on hooks are available. The sideboard contains basic desk and sewing supplies. Please watch your head because of slanted ceilings as shown in pictures. A full but tiny bath is located upstairs. There is a shower and basic toiletries and towels are provided. There is a private patio outside the entrance door with additional seating and a small garden. The grounds have two fire pits as well as numerous seating areas. You are welcome to use the backyard. Horseshoe set and s’mores sticks can be provided. A covered outdoor area has seating, darts and checkers. Please be mindful that the grounds are not flat and brick walkways are uneven due to the age of the property. The patio by the owner’s residence and the front yard of the property is private Guest access Backyard( where you enter) is available but owners also have access. Front yard and private residence patio are not accessible. Other things to note Two dogs are on the premises but will be leashed during your stay except for a break from10-10:15 pm. They are not allowed in the guest house. You will be given a remote to enter the gated driveway after checking in. Please be sure to close the gate. You can also walk out the second gate without a remote. Due to the nature of this historic building, you may see an occasional bug despite intense cleaning prior to your visit. We will happily take care of any problems you may encounter.
