This apartment in modern industrial loft style is 35 square meters and was lovingly completed in spring 2025 after our building core renovation. Quietly located in the green city border of Homburg, only about 2 km from the center and with direct public bus connection. BUILDING HISTORY: The building was originally built well before 1912. Completely gutted, modernized and energized, this heritage house has been telling its own story of experiencing in the last 125 years in Saarland since 2025. Four completely different apartments explore the historical themes; one of them is still being developed. OUR IDEA: Here I offer the apartment "STEEL". "STEEL" stands for the steel industry of the Saarland well known beyond the borders, especially for the World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte in Saarland, which is always worth a visit. Distance about 30 minutes by car. THE STYLE: You will consciously find the darker hues and ambiance in industrial style with a lot of metal and upcycled old wood, which we gained from the building decoloration and worked up to the new function. WHAT'S SPECIAL: In line with this, real antiques from this era invite you to try out the way it used to be, for example, writing a letter with a nearly 100-year-old typewriter instead of writing digital short messages. Or grind the coffee by hand. There is no lack of coziness, comfort or modernity, such as the always fresh room air thanks to modern, decentralized ventilation (not audible) or underfloor heating in the entire floor area, even in the shower. Outside area: You park your car for free on the property or right outside your own front door. For EV drivers, a high-performance 11 kW KEBA Wallbox with your own charging card and charging cable is available for a fee. Past your small breakfast terrace with lawn, you enter the apartment. KITCHEN: The individually made kitchen with long countertop and a separate dining counter with recessed charging station shares the first room with the cozy living area. LIVING AREA: The well padded sofa can be folded out as a third sleeping option and offers a comfortable lying area incl. Mattress topper measuring 120 x 188 cm (47 x 74 inches). Please note that this living area only has one way to block out light, which is by using the window blinds. However, the sleep mask provided for you can help if you use the sofa bed. The wall-mounted Philipps 55" Ambilight TV gives a special light effect when streaming your favorite show and is pivotable. Alternatively, I have also stored a few board games and books for you here. Otherwise, you can also watch NETFLIX for free or explore the surroundings using our hiking equipment. SLEEPING AREA: Quiet sleep guaranteed! The bedroom is located to the residents' cul-de-sac on the back of the house and is therefore guaranteed without traffic noise for a good night's sleep. The queen bed is cozily cozy with several different pillows, wool blankets, a full mattress, and a topper. With its comfortable size of 160x200, there is plenty of space for two adults and undisturbed dreams. You can hang your clothes in the authentically real industrial spindle or on the extended clothing rack. The bedroom can be completely darkened via an electric shutter and a blind. By the way: Here you will also find the lockable safe, ironing board, iron, clothes rack, vacuum cleaner and other cleaning items, should you need or go wrong. BATHS: Here I have provided plenty of storage space and hanging options. Personally, there is nothing more annoying to me than having too few storage options in bathrooms all the time. The spacious, walk-in shower area with underfloor heating and copper design spoils you with a rainshower, and you will also find a large shelf here. The lighting design mirror above the sink is heated against the fogging of the mirror surface. The shaving mirror is also lit. By the way: Forgot care or hygiene items at home? No problem. Just in case, here are some help kits for you, including a hair dryer. The entire apartment including the breakfast terrace with small lawn in the front garden is for your exclusive use. Ample free parking is available right in front of and next to the house. ELECTRIC CARS: Our publicly accessible 11kW KEBA WALLBOX Type 2 charging station is primarily available for our guests to charge their electric vehicles in our free parking spaces. Billing is always automatic between you and your contractual partner at 59 cents/kWh plus a 50-cent activation fee per charging session. Be sure to stop the charging process once the vehicle is fully charged to avoid incurring additional continuous charging costs. To refuel, you only need your contract fuel card and your own charging cable.
