This apartment in a modern industrial loft style is 35 square meters and was lovingly completed after our building core renovation in spring 2025. Quietly located in the green city limits of Homburg, only about 2 km from the center and with direct public bus connection. HISTORY of the BUILDING: The building was originally built well before 1912. Completely gutted, modernized and energized, this Heritage house has been telling its own story of what it has experienced in the past 125 years in Saarland since 2025. Four completely different apartments take up the historical themes or two of them are still in the process of being implemented. OUR IDEA: Here I offer the apartment "STEEL". "STEEL" stands for the steel industry of Saarland, which is well known beyond the borders, in particular for the World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte in Saarland, which is always worth a visit. Distance about 30 minutes by car. THE STYLE: You will deliberately find the darker shades and the ambience in the industrial style with a lot of metal and upcycled old wood, which we have obtained from the building gutting and reworked for the new function. THE SPECIAL THING: In keeping with this, real antiques from this era invite you to try out how it used to be, for example, to write a letter with a nearly 100-year-old typewriter instead of writing digital short messages. Or grind the coffee fresh by hand. There is no lack of coziness, comfort or modernity, such as the always fresh room air thanks to modern, decentralized ventilation (not audible) or underfloor heating in the entire floor area, even in the shower. OUTSIDE: You can park your car for free on the property or right on your doorstep. A powerful 11 kW KEBA wallbox is available for e-drivers. Past your small breakfast terrace with lawn you enter the apartment. KITCHEN: The individually manufactured kitchen with a long countertop and a separate dining counter with a recessed charging station shares the first room with the cozy living area. LIVING AREA: The well-upholstered sofa can be folded out as a third sleeping option and offers a comfortable lying surface incl. a topper of 120 x 188 cm. Please note that currently this living area has no blackout option on the windows. However, the sleeping glasses provided for you can offer you a temporary remedy. The wall-mounted Philipps 55" Ambilight TV gives a special lighting effect when streaming your favorite show and is swiveling. Alternatively, I have also stored a few board games and books for you here. Otherwise, you can also watch NETFLIX for free. SLEEPING AREA: Quiet sleep guaranteed! The bedroom is located on the back of the house facing the residential cul-de-sac and thus guarantees a good night's sleep without traffic noise. The queen bed is cozy and cuddly with several different pillows, wool blankets, a continuous mattress and a topper. With its comfortable size of 160 x 200, there is plenty of room for two adults and undisturbed dreams. You can hang your clothes in the authentic industrial locker or on the extended clothes rack. The bedroom can be completely darkened via an electric roller shutter and a blind. By the way: Here you will also find the lockable safe, the ironing board, iron, the drying rack, vacuum cleaner and other cleaning items, should you need them or if something goes wrong. BATHROOM: Here I have provided plenty of storage space and hanging options. Because personally, nothing annoys me more than constantly having too few storage options in bathrooms. The spacious, ground-level shower area with underfloor heating and copper design pampers you with a rain shower and here you will also find a large storage space. The light design mirror above the sink is heated to prevent fogging of the mirror surface. The shaving mirror is also illuminated. By the way: Forgot your toiletries at home? No problem. Just in case, here are some help kits for you, including a hairdryer. The entire apartment including the breakfast terrace with a small lawn in the front garden is available for your exclusive use. Ample free parking is available right in front of the house or on the premises. E-CARS: A separate 11 kW KEBA WALLBOX for charging electric cars is exclusively available to my guests on the premises.
