Description
Relax with friends or family at this peaceful two bedroom cottage in the countryside, with its own garden. If you're following the Ridgeway, bring your well behaved dogs, horses or bikes. Dog treats, stables & grazing, secure bike storage and collection service available. The cottage is a mile from the village of Compton, with its pub and shop. It's 2 miles from the Ridgeway and close to the A34 and M4. We live next door so can help out whenever you need us, or just leave you in peace. The space Bramblefield Cottage was build in the 1800s and has been lovingly cared for, for many years. It's a middle terrace with a private, fully enclosed garden. It's about a mile from the village (where there's a shop and a great pub, that you can walk to, across the fields.) There's plenty of peace and quiet here, with amazing walks on the Ridegeway, as well as easy access to Oxford and other local cities. There's a wood burning stove in the sitting room, that you can light when its chilly. We can give you an unlimited supply of wood. Outside there's a garden where you can sit and relax, eat or let your pooch scamper about. We even have EV charging, if you need it for your car. We live next door so are usually around if you need us. And if you don't, that's fine too. Guest access At Bramblefield Cottage, you have the whole place to yourselves! Two beautiful bedrooms (one with a double or twin beds and one with bunk beds), a cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove, a kitchen where you can eat and a bathroom (on the ground floor, with a power shower.) There's an enclosed garden that is all yours to use, too. There is plenty of free parking outside Bramblefield Cottage and also in the drive next door, at Appletree Cottage, if you need it. There are steps down to the front door, from the drive. Other things to note We love to recycle as much as we can. There are bins for you to use, for different recyclables. Or just chuck everything in one bin and we'll sort it for you, after you've left. Bramblefield Cottage is on a septic tank, which means that anything other than loo roll down the toilet will cause problems. If you use wet wipes, nappies or cotton buds, please put them into the bin. The cottage is a bit too far from the nearest town for anyone to deliver takeaways. However, you can call the pub in the village - The Compton Swan - to order a takeaway and then collect it. It's only a mile away.
