A large 5 bedroom Devon longhouse on the banks of the River Torridge, set in a 39-acre haven in the heart of North Devon. Surrounded by an abundance of wildlife and the farm's own animals, this former hunting and fishing lodge dates back to the 1700’s. The space Kingsley Mill is a generous 5 bedroom Devon Longhouse, it's a truly peaceful haven, you arrive down a long driveway, with the River Torridge on your left and fields on your right (note: if you are wanting to fish in season please contact me). At the end of the driveway you will find the house to your right. The house is spacious, with a huge living room equipped with a pool table for games night, and a large TV for your movie nights; there is a generous dining room with wood burning stove, a fully equipped country kitchen, and a utility room with laundry and dish washer facilities. Along with a bright sunny conservatory for your morning coffee/ beverages . The conservatory leads out in to a large back garden with patio area for Alfresco dining, and hot tub for the evenings star gazing. You can head up on to the sloped grass areas for some sun bathing , relaxing or a picnic. Lots of the garden , orchard and outdoor spaces are being gentle managed for wild life . The organically kept garden and fields have lots of wild life like spring watch …birds , hedgehogs, badgers, voles and otters have been spotted by the river . The lawns are mostly wild flower and hay meadows …they are occasionally grazed by sheep ponies and goats. Chickens are often roaming freely. They rarely go in the back garden and it is secure for most dogs, owners must check the fence especially if their dog is an escape artist ! The bedrooms and ensuites are all upstairs for when you wish to retire. Guest access The ground and first floor are there for you to use. The attic rooms are restricted/ not for guest access. The utility room (separate entrance) is a shared space for The Mill House to use the laundry facilities also.
