The space The abbey's lodging is located on the abbey site of Saint Savin sur Gartempe, in the city center. Neo-medieval in style, it is a historic 10 th century residence. It was also the home of Léon Edoux, inventor of the hydraulic elevator. He redesigned the house in the 19th century by flanking it with a crenellated tower for the needs of his elevator. Since then, the inhabitants of Saint Savin, call the lodging house, "the Chateau". The guest room we offer is on the 5th floor, accessible by elevator. It has views of the abbey and the Gartempe. On the ground floor of the Logis, the restaurant Le Cérasus is our partner. You can have lunch or dinner there from Thursday to Sunday.
