Aarroh Villa is a special family home in the middle of Coonoor. It is just about one kilometer from the railway station, making it easy to reach. The house sits quietly, surrounded on three sides by green tea gardens. When you stay here, you will feel calm and close to nature. Even though it is peaceful, all the famous places in Coonoor are only a short drive away. You can enjoy a quiet weekend, wake up to the sound of birds, and watch the sunrise or sunset with a warm cup of tea in your hand. The space Aarroh Villa was built in the 1970s by my grandfather, who watched every part of its construction. Over the years, our family has loved and cared for this home. You can see this in every corner. When you walk in, you will find a soft green lawn and a garden swing. This is a great place to relax, listen to the birds, and breathe the fresh, cool air. If you go upstairs, you will find another swing on the balcony. From here, you can watch the sun come up in the morning or see the lights of Coonoor town at night. The bedroom is on the top floor. It opens onto a big balcony with a view of the whole town. The room has a king-size bed, a large study table, and wide windows that let in plenty of light. If you have some work to do, the desk is just right for last-minute calls or for working quietly with a lovely view. There is also an attached bathroom and a dressing area where you can get ready for your day. Besides this room, we have two more bedrooms that can be booked if you are coming with friends or family. If you have an extra guest, just tell us ahead of time, and we can arrange an extra bed for a charge of 1200/-. This helps us make sure everyone is comfortable. Location Aarroh Villa is just over 1 km from the Coonoor railway station, which makes it easy to get here after your journey. It is also about 20 kms from Ooty, so you can explore both towns easily. The most popular places to see in Coonoor, like Dolphin’s Nose and Lamb’s Rock, are close by—about 10 kms away. If you want to see special places that only locals know about, just ask us. We love sharing our favorite hidden spots. The weather in Coonoor is pleasant almost all year, but it can get a bit cold at night. We suggest bringing a sweater and socks, just to stay warm and comfortable. If it gets very cold, you can ask for a room heater, and we will provide one if it is available. Do not worry about power cuts, because we have a backup, so your stay will not be disturbed. Guest access You will see that the best parts of Aarroh Villa are the spaces you can share. The green lawn is perfect for sitting with a cup of tea, reading a book, or just enjoying the gentle breeze. The balcony upstairs is calm and lovely, a nice spot for early mornings or quiet evenings. Inside, the living room is full of soft light and feels very cozy. You can watch TV here or spend time with your loved ones. We have many popular streaming channels, so you can enjoy your favorite shows if you want. If you like cooking, let us know before you come, and we will give you access to the kitchen and utensils. If you are curious about tea, our family has a tea office close by. We are happy to show you how tea is traded and maybe even help you find a blend to take home with you. Other things to note Our home follows Jain traditions, so we do not allow meat or alcohol inside the house. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside, in the balcony or garden, so the house stays fresh for everyone. This is our family’s lived-in home, so you might see some of our personal things in the cupboards or around the house, but each guest room has a cupboard that you can use. We just ask you to treat our home with care, as if it were your own.
