Nestled in the rolling hills of the Brohmer and Helpter Berge bird sanctuary and the Klepelshagen nature reserve lies Gut Neuensund – a baroque estate dating back to 1780. Just 1.5 hours from Berlin, this is a place of absolute tranquility, historic buildings, a beautiful swimming lake, and unspoiled nature. You’ll stay in the 450 sqm former inspector’s house, part of a U-shaped baroque estate that encloses a 4,500 sqm inner courtyard and stretches across 8 hectares of land. The space At the former inspector’s house of Gut Neuensund, eight bedrooms with a total of twelve beds accommodate up to 18 guests. Three additional single beds can be set up if needed. Four bathrooms are shared – towels, bed linen, and toiletries are all provided. Each room is equipped with a traditional tiled stove, offering cozy warmth on cooler days. The house features a spacious, fully equipped country-style kitchen and a comfortable living room with a library. Two terraces – one in front of the house and another in the guest garden behind it – as well as the guest garden itself, are available for your exclusive use. An outdoor sauna next to the house can be used for an additional fee of 15€/h (minimum 2h use). Breakfast or catering can be arranged upon request. A local contact person is available at any time for questions or assistance. Dogs are allowed for a fee of €25 per stay and must be registered in advance. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times on the entire property and are not allowed on beds or sofas inside the house. The estate grounds span eight hectares and are open to guests: a 4,500 sqm courtyard with various seating areas, a magical Lenné-designed park behind the manor house, a barbecue area, and a firepit – with firewood and charcoal available on-site. For events, retreats, off-sites or seminars, the historic granary can be rented. It accommodates up to 150 people but is also well-suited for smaller groups and creative uses. Just 1.2 km from the estate lies Schmiedgrundsee, a quiet swimming lake with a small dock. Directly from the estate, hiking trails lead into the surrounding nature reserve. It’s also a great area for birdwatching, and destinations like the Szczecin Lagoon or Ueckermünde can be reached in about 30 minutes by car. Gut Neuensund is situated in the heart of a nature reserve at the northernmost edge of the Uckermark region. It’s just 1.5 hours from Berlin by car via the A20 (Strasburg exit). Arrival by train is also easy: the ICE stops in Pasewalk (25 minutes away), and the regional train stops in Jatznick (15 minutes away). Shuttle service from either station can be arranged on request. Gut Neuensund is a place for rest, retreat, and nature – and above all: for space. Lots of it. Other things to note High-speed internet is available via fiber-optic connection. Parking is free of charge. Dogs are welcome for a fee of €25 per stay but must be kept on a leash while on the property.
