Welcome to the Red House – a charming 200 sqm accommodation with beautiful views of Storsjön and Svenstavik. The house is located on a hill and offers large, tastefully decorated spaces for families and groups. In just a 10-minute walk, you can reach the city center with a grocery store, pharmacy, liquor store and small shops. Here you live comfortably with both nature and service close by. Svenstavik is a perfect starting point for winter vacations. Ski resorts such as Klövsjö, Gräftovallen and Vemdalen are relatively close. The space Welcome to the Red House - a spacious home with magnificent views of Lake Storsjön and Hoverberget Röda huset is beautifully located in Bergsviken, on a hill above Svenstavik. From several of the rooms – including two of the bedrooms, the kitchen and the study – you have a mile-wide view of Lake Storsjön and Hoverberget. The house is about 200 square meters and has plenty of room for up to 10 people, with the possibility of a few more beds. 🛏 Bedrooms and beds There are four furnished bedrooms: The master bedroom has a double bed and a private toilet attached. In the adjacent bedroom there are two adjustable beds that can be placed next to each other and used as a double bed. The red bedroom is furnished with two white beds from the turn of the century, 80 cm wide, with comfortable mattresses. The fourth bedroom is located downstairs and has a single bed and all the necessary amenities. All bedrooms have a desk, chair and storage facilities for clothes. For larger groups, there are additional sleeping places: A sofa bed with room for two people in the living room upstairs. A smaller sofa bed in the office next to the kitchen (1 person). A pull-out kitchen sofa from the 1930s, built by a relative – charming, but simpler in comfort (1 person). 🍽 The kitchen and dining room The kitchen is the heart of the house and is fully equipped with dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave and air fryer. Here it is easy to cook together, and breakfast tastes extra good at the kitchen table overlooking Storsjön. The dining room is perhaps the most elegant room in the house – with a crystal chandelier, large baroque mirror and an extendable table for up to 8 people. The kitchen table can easily be moved in if you have more people. 💼 Workspaces and common areas Next to the kitchen is a study overlooking the valley in Svenstavik – a quiet place for those who want to work, read or just enjoy the tranquility. Upstairs, there is a spacious living room with a large sofa, armchairs and TV with Wi-Fi connection (own streaming services are needed). There is also a cabinet filled with board games for both children and adults. In the hall you will find a bookshelf with children's books, novels, thrillers and more for rainy days. For all types of guests The red house is suitable for both adult groups and families with children. Pets are also welcome! If you have a dog, we ask you to keep it on a leash as there are other dogs on the farm. We hire a professional cleaning company after each guest's stay, this is to guarantee a sparkling clean house for the next visit. That's why we charge an extra fee for cleaning.
