This cosy two-storey cottage sits in the heart of one of Tassie’s best wine regions. Warm and inviting, it is ideal for a couple looking for a quiet getaway. The cottage is a free-standing building, separated from the main farmhouse by a courtyard. In summer and autumn, you are welcome to pick your own fruit from our organic orchard. With our place centrally located 15 minutes north of Launceston on a quiet road, you will have easy access to all the region has to offer. The space The cottage is comfortably furnished. Downstairs you’ll find a small well-equipped kitchen, dining table and lounge area. On this level there is also a toilet, laundry tub, drying rack and iron (no washing machine). Upstairs there is a comfortable queen size bed with high quality mattress and linen, and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a bar fridge, stove with full size oven, microwave, and all utensils needed for cooking including kettle, toaster, sandwich press, coffee plunger, tea pot, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. We also provide tea, coffee, milk, sugar, salt and pepper. An undercover alfresco cooking area on the side patio has a gas BBQ and small dining area. A dual-system heat pump/air-conditioner keeps the cottage comfortable all year round – warm and cosy in the cool months, but cool in summer. There is Wifi NBN Internet access, and a Smart TV for you to log into your own streaming service or enjoy free access to iview and SBS on Demand. Please remember that this is a rural property, and while our internet is generally adequate for streaming, it can be patchy during peak periods. There is also excellent mobile phone data coverage + reception for Telstra inside the cottage and over the entire property. You are welcome to stroll around our 6-acre property and pick your own fruit from our organic orchard when it is in season. The cottage is separated from our Edwardian farmhouse by a courtyard. Other things to note The accommodation has only one queen-sized bed and is is only suitable for a couple or one single person.
