The space This semi–self-contained area of the home offers something rare in a hosted retreat — space to truly breathe. Rise Temple is a place to rest and unwind in the stillness of the sanctuary, surrounded by nature and gentle energy. At The Still Waters Sanctuary enjoy: · A bedroom with a queen-sized bed, styled with natural textures and thoughtful touches by your host, who brings a warm and soulful interior aesthetic inspired by 1950s vintage design. · A separate living room, a rare offering for room-only guest stays, providing extra space to unwind, journal, or enjoy quiet moments of stillness. · A central connecting room — light-filled and inviting — with a simple kitchenette (toaster, kettle, microwave, and organic herbal teas) and a workspace for reflection, writing, or creative flow. · Your private retreat space is accessed through a door with its own key, just off the main living area, ensuring a sense of privacy and ease throughout your stay. · The guest area includes access to a lush bathroom (shower shared only with the owner, who has her own toilet upstairs) — a beautiful space to slow down and unwind. · Guests also have one 30-minute visit per day to the infrared sauna in the fitness studio downstairs. The space is full of charm — original timber floors, soft earthy tones, and mid-century inspired furniture that brings a sense of grounded elegance. While rustic in character, the energy of the home is nourishing, held, and peaceful. As Rise Temple is a wellness retreat, it is not a place for parties or excessive consumption of alcohol. To preserve the peaceful atmosphere, I kindly ask that any drinking be enjoyed mindfully and in moderation, so the space remains calm, respectful, and true to its restful nature. Guest access You will have full use of your three-room space, the balcony, lush bathroom, and all outdoor areas. There is also a dam plunge pool with a mini waterfall for you to immerse yourself in — the perfect way to cool down after a sauna session. Please be aware that if there has been a lot of rain, the water may be murky or brown, so it is best not to swim at that time. If there hasn’t been enough rain, the dam may not be as clear, but it remains a soothing and refreshing experience. During your stay A Little About Your Host Your host, Amanda Jane, is a certified breath and mindfulness coach, whose vision for Rise Temple was to create a place where others could reconnect with themselves and return to a slower, more intentional way of being.
