The hiking trail goes past the swimming pond and weaves its way to the top of the hill where there's wide open spaces thru the oak and pines. Listen to birds, watch deer and turkeys roam thru the yard while you sit on the front porch and enjoy the peace and quiet. 2 miles to town, close to the Battenkill River and other nearby attractions. The space Rustic country cabin located in the heart of Cambridge valley. Nestled on 55 + acres this is truely a wonderful place to come and unwind from everyday life. Enjoy the true log construction complete with squeaky floors and log beam ceilings. Relax by the pond and take a dip or lounge in a pond tube. Hike the marked trail up to the top of the hill or sit and soak up some heat by the outdoor firepit. *If you plan on exploring thru the woods, please bring the appropriate tick and bug spray* A small rack of firewood is provided for your trip. If town life is more of your thing, there's plenty of quaint shops and antique stores throughout town which is only 2 miles away. NO FISHING OR HUNTING ON THE PROPERTY. *Bedrooms with Full bed and Twin beds are adjoining. Access to Full bedroom is accessible thru Twin bedroom* *No landline phone and limited cell service but wifi calling via Starlink is available. *If you're booking during the winter months 4-wheel drive may be necessary to make it up the steep driveway Guest access Whole house is open for guests. Owners closets/basement area and the garage are locked. NO FISHING OR HUNTING ON THE PROPERTY.
