Coffee by the Creek, Sauvignon under the Stars/AC

Looking for a secret getaway to unwind? In need of a break from the daily grind? Look no further. This is the place where time slows down. Imagine waking up to songbirds, having coffee by the creek, dining by the setting sun after spending the day out with loved ones, and finally falling asleep under the starry sky. It's all yours to explore, all 33 acres for yourself. Whether you want to camp by the creek, or practice your golf swing in the open field. This place has something for everyone. The space Only 30 minutes from the Edmonton International Airport and 20 minutes from Leduc, between Millet and Wetaskiwin, this acreage is both reasonably close to town (10 minutes' drive) and far away enough to retain its seclusion and serenity. There are 33 acres of land for you to play and explore. The area has several open fields, a well-equipped house, a game room trailer, two private trails, an outdoor activity area, and an indoor archery range. Bigstone Creek runs through the property. It is possible to camp by the creek. There is some wildlife around the properties, such as beavers, muskrats, birds, waterfowl, and deer. Please be gentle with them. Inside the house, there are three bedrooms with one king bed and two queen beds. A sofa bed in the living room easily converts into another queen bed. Two additional sofa beds can be found in the master bedroom to provide much needed flexibility. Aside from what's on the property, guests are also encouraged to explore other local attractions. Reynold-Alberta Museum and Edmonton International Raceway are both about 15 minutes away. Guest access Guests can access every building on the property, except for the three little storage shacks. Recommended activities: ATV - The creek area is a great spot for offroad adventures amongst the locals. Archery - Practice your fundamentals under a controlled environment in the shack. Once you are confident enough, feel free to set up the archery targets by the pile of logs at the foot of the little hill to try those long-distance shots. But please put everything back into the shack afterwards and make sure all the arrows are recovered, because they can really mess up lawn mower blades. Beaver watching - They like to come out at dusk and will be active until early morning. Bird watching - Many bird species, migratory or native, reside in this area. Berry picking - Depending on the season, you can find wild strawberries, raspberries, Saskatoon berries and chokeberries along the tree line. Stargazing - The best place will be the little hill or the big field to the North of the house. Mini-soccer - There is a soccer ball and mini gates in the storage. If you want to use them, please feel free to ask. Snowshoeing - It's one of my favorite workout in the winter time. Ziplines - They are built for smaller kids and younger teenagers. So please do not overload them. Other things to note While guests are encouraged to explore the land, please note that the ground can be quite uneven, or have tripping hazards in some places. Please do exercise caution when walking outside. The same goes for all the outdoor and indoor equipment we provide, such as the playground, ziplines, or archery set. Please use these items at your own risk. We are not liable for any injury resulting from these outdoor activities. Also, please do not dump anything on the grounds or in the creek, especially in the creek. The municipality of Wetaskiwin could impose a fire ban at various times of the year. Please do check before starting a campfire. Smoking is restricted to the designated smoking area only. Discarding cigarette butts outside the designated collection bin can carry severe consequences. The acreage uses groundwater, which has a certain smell due to its mineral content. However, it is safe for residential use. For drinking water, guests are encouraged to use the filtered water located by the kitchen sink. If you are hosting a large party or event (more than 10 attendees), please make your own garbage disposal arrangements.
