Our guesthouse is located at the top of the pass between Nakatsugawa and Magome, along the popular Nakasendo Trail. Housed in a 200-year-old traditional Japanese home, it offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The rate is ¥20,000(+fee to Airbnb) per night, from the 3rd guest onward, ¥10,000(+fee to Airbnb) per person per night will be added, including dinner and breakfast. Pick-up from Nakatsugawa Station is available with prior notice. The space The stay includes one night with two meals. We host only one group per day, up to 6 people, from the same family or group. This is because rooms are divided by paper sliding doors (shoji), which do not fully ensure privacy. You’ll sleep on futons in tatami rooms, with all essentials provided. Meals are fixed; we cannot accommodate allergies, vegan or religious diets. Pets are not allowed. Located far from the town, the area is quiet and surrounded by nature. In spring, frogs in the rice fields may lull you to sleep. Two bicycles are available for exploring the area. Guest access We operate a café during the daytime. Except for the kitchen, the Buddhist altar room, and the host family's private living area, all other rooms are accessible to guests. You can use multiple rooms, including the café seating area, so you won’t feel cramped. We believe you will be able to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay. During your stay We provide a contact phone number. The host lives in the same building and can come immediately if you call. The host stays in the kitchen until dinner or breakfast service ends, so you can ask for anything anytime. We try to accommodate guests’ requests as flexibly as possible. We are especially interested in hearing from international guests about their cultures, customs, and what is popular now. We would appreciate hearing your stories and experiences.
