Description
Sandend (Scots: Sanine) is a small fishing village, located between Portsoy and Cullen approximately one hour’s drive from Aberdeen. As its name suggest the village is situated beside a picturesque beach that slopes gently into the sea and is popular with both families looking for a beautiful spot to relax and play in the sand and with surfers many of whom travel many miles to ride the waves in what is considered to be one of the best surfing beaches on the Moray Coast. The space 27 Sandend is a former fisherman’s cottage situated right at the harbour front, a quiet place to relax and with luck spot the resident population of dolphins that can sometimes be seen in the bay or for those more adventurous to indulge in the ever-popular summer past time of “harbour Jumping”. The Cottage sleeps up to six people. On the first floor there is a spacious double bedroom, with en-suite shower room, twin bedroom and a family sized bathroom with bath / jacuzzi and shower. The first-floor hall also has a selection of local interest photos and some games and books which guest are free to use. On the ground floor there is a second double bedroom, sitting room / diner with log burner and separate kitchen. Parking is available to the side of the property and on the street. There is a private picnic bench to side of the property looking on to the harbour and communal green area. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property. Other things to note Please note we do not charge a cleaning fee, but we do expect the cottage to be left as clean and tidy as it is found. There is no live TV available at the property. However there is a smart TV so that guests can login and access their own streaming services. 27 Sandend is a dog-friendly; an ideal location considering it’s close proximity to the beach and with coastal paths running both east and west from the village. Well-behaved dogs are therefore welcome in the cottage (max. 2) but we do ask guests to use the cosy blankets provided to protect the furniture.
