Alte Tischlerei - The Shop

The Alte Tischlerei is a 315-year-old half-timbered house that we have renovated from scratch. With natural materials such as clay and wood, old plank floors, bricks and field stones, a place was created that radiates warmth – and tells a story. On the ground floor of the Alte Tischlerei is Der Laden – a bright, spacious apartment with direct garden access. The name is reminiscent of the previous use of the space. Today a stylish retreat for a maximum of 3 people. The space Dear guests, How nice that you found us - and even nicer that you discovered Gransee. The small town with its 800-year history is a silent treasure in the north of Brandenburg – a place for explorers, those seeking peace and lovers of historical buildings. In the midst of this backdrop, we have saved a listed house from decay with a lot of passion - the Alte Tischlerei. It has been carefully restored and modernly equipped in close coordination with the monument protection. Now we would like to invite you to pause in this special place, breathe deeply and perhaps experience the feeling that time can sometimes stand still a little. Today a stylish retreat for 2 to 3 people. Facilities & rooms: • Two bedrooms • Living room with historic plank floor, historic ceiling and basic oven • Fully equipped kitchen • Large bathroom with shower and toilet, washing machine • Garden courtyard with natural stone pavement and seating area • Wooden and brick floors, clay walls with clay plaster and wallpaper walls • Vaulted cellar from the 14th century (can be visited on request) The property can easily be reached from Berlin by RE5 – you do not need a car to come to us and switch off. Other things to note Our house has a long history – over 300 years old walls, historic floors and lovingly restored furniture give it its special character. In order to preserve this magic, we ask for some mindfulness in dealing with the materials. Basic oven: On romantic autumn days / winter days, our basic oven can be used. Wood, accessories and a short briefing are available on request for an additional charge of 35 EUR. One basket of logs + one basket of kindling + lighter about 25 kg (enough for two heating cycles). Pets: As much as we like animals, we decided not to accept pets because some of our guests are allergic and the old floors and textiles are very sensitive. Neighboring cats: In our garden, there are sometimes curious neighboring cats on the go. We appreciate their visit outdoors, but ask that you do not let them into the house – they have their little territory out there. Shoes in the house: Our historic wooden floors are beautiful but sensitive. We therefore ask you not to wear street shoes in the house.
