Unlock the door to a secret wooden staircase, that ascends to a private, light airy, apartment with solid oak flooring, and wonderful views. Freshly decorated and dressed off with a collection of Samantha Dadd's original paintings and art books. The space is flexible for a family, friends sharing, or a couple can treat themselves to the whole apartment. It works perfectly as creative space to work, a base for walking/cycling, or a place from which to explore other Cotswold villages and towns. The space Watch the sun rise from the picture window at the front of the property which looks out onto a huge horse chestnut tree, orchard, fields and distant hills. Step outside to hear the dawn chorus of bird song. Then, in the evening, see the silvery moon and stars between the branches of the chestnut tree whose canopy reaches out towards the apartment. The photographs of bluebell woods, poppy fields, and swathes of rosebay willow herb etc are all taken, up Bredon Hill, within a 30 mins walk away. Even closer to home, the sunrise photographs were taken from just outside and can be seen from the apartments bay window or your outside patio area. it's quite simply, an artist, photographer, writer, walkers or cyclists paradise. Or indeed the perfect place to just take some time out to relax and enjoy nature in all its splendour. If you wish to explore the local area the cottage is also only 15 mins drive from historic Tewkesbury, Evesham or Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle, 25 mins from Cheltenham, Kingsholm rugby ground, Worcester, and Shakespeare’s Stratford upon Avon, 10 mins from home of the Gold Cup, Prestbury Racecourse, and dozens of delightful Cotswold villages. There is certainly plenty to do for those who want to get out and about. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for self-catering but if you feel like trying some of the local cafes, restaurants and pubs there are plenty to choose from. Not least, the heavily timbered Yew Tree Inn has some great beers and a delicious menu and is only 100 meters walk from your front door. The front door of this self contained apartment, opens to a wooden staircase that take you up to the first floor leading into the fully equipped kitchen, with full size fridge, small freezer, oven, grill, halogen hob, steamer, kettle, toaster and everything you need to cook with, plus cutlery, crockery and tea-towels. The kitchen window looks out onto trees and over a country- cottage flower and vegetable garden. The property also has two separate, beautifully decorated, private bedrooms which can be set up as a kingsize double or two full size single beds. There is plenty of wardrobe hanging space, a bedside cabinet and storage underneath beds. Duvet, pillows and lovely fresh, clean linen are all provided. Both bedrooms have glorious views looking out onto open countryside. There is also a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board is available upon prior request at a small additional charge. The apartment is designed to be flexible to suit individual parties needs. For parties who like to eat in there is a dining table for 4 in the bedroom that leads off the kitchen. (NB: this room can be set up as a sitting room for smaller parties). Additionally the second bedroom has a desk with a screen that you can plug a laptop into. The shower room, WC and wash hand basin is stocked with wonderfully scented, home-made, complimentary toiletries and towels are provided. There is also a lovely outside seating area, with a table and 4 chairs, that you have sole use of during your stay. The views from which can be seen in the photographs. FREE parking space is available directly opposite the house, under the Horse Chestnut tree. There is also a charging pod for EV's available to guests for a small standard rate fee. NB: The whole apartment has recently been beautifully refurbished by the Artist in a tasteful, cottage style which is perfectly in keeping with the building and surrounding area. Guest access This is a private self contained apartment with its own lockable front door at the base of the stairs. Access is through the Art Gallery. You will be given your own key to that as well as to the apartment. So you can come and go as you please. Other things to note The property is easy to find and free parking is immediately opposite. You can choose between a double or two singles in the bedroom but you need to let us know in advance. The seating area in the room with the bay window can be divided into 2 extra single beds. Please let us know your preference at time of booking. There is a charging pod for electric cars upon request. There is a standard charge of £20 for its use . We can also offer the use of a free travel cot - please let us know that you would like it set up for you at time of booking. There is also a changing table and toy box in the bedroom. For longer stays, there is a shared, fully equipped laundry room, with washer and dryer, available. Please let me know in advance if you might need that facility. Plenty of maps are provided for wonderful local walks and general information including recommended cafes and restaurants.
