Enjoy the firepit in the backyard, watching the ducks frolic and hearing the nearby rooster crow. Soak in the rich history of this property by reading "Memoirs of an Ex-Hippie" written by the original builder, describing his life in the counterculture and his creation of the A-frames. Being on Manns Chapel Rd, you will hear road noise (the 'cost' of being in a very convenient location). The land and A-frames surrounding the lake were the epicenter of the Chapel Hill hippie movement in the 60's. Enjoy walking down to the pond to see the turtles and ducks, but please remain in the corner area of the pond behind your home and behind the A-frame next door. Please do not walk across the pond toward the opposite side, as that is not our property. Other things to note There is a driveway easement across the back of the property along the lake, so be aware that the neighbors across the pond may occasionally drive by to enter or exit. Feel free to walk around behind the A-frame on the 'driveway' and check out the pond, but please do not enter other adjacent properties. Do not cross over to the other side of the pond, as that is not our property. We will provide a one-week supply of necessities for each booking, i.e. TP, paper towels, shampoo/conditioner. For longer term stays, you will be responsible for your additional necessities.
