Medieval gite Cirque de Navacelles

The space Perhaps you have seen our gite in the documentary "Des Racines & des Ailes", "Terre de Languedoc" of march 9th of septembre 2015 (France 3)? A fantastic holiday rental in Herault (34); pure ecological restauration, in the middle of the CIRQUE DE NAVACELLES, which has recently been integrated in the UNESCO wordlheritage. The Gorges de la Vis are a unique place for flyfishing, hiking, birdwatching, nature life, swimming. Even in hottest summer month you can walk 10 minutes and you will be all for yourself in a paradise of clear blue water pools and superb vegetation. The area is highly protected (medieval architecture and nature reserve). We propose you an appartment of approximately 90m2 in our medieval house. Fully orientated towards the south you are invited to enjoy our private garden (1000m2) right below the house, 100m away from the river. You are 1hr away from the mediterranean sea, nearby to the Camargue, the beautiful markets in Le Vigan and Ganges, the Mt Aigual (mushrooms in automn), Montpellier is 45min away. For those who love wine, there are some of the most interesting wine areas nearby (Montpeyroux, Faugères, Pic St Loup,...). The Gorges du Tarn are 1hr away. For sure you have an enormeous amount of things to do in this area. The appartment is on two floors, in the upper part of our house. Entering from the small pedestrian street at floor level you have a large kitchen on your left (fully equiped), as well as a bathroom with shower above the medieval bread-oven in the tour. Above the entrance you have a sleeping room with toilets and a bed of 140cm width, one floor above a mezzanine with two individual beds. This mezzanine does not have vue on the bed located on the floor below, but is not separated by a wall (it's an open mezzanine). It would be therefore better to say 2.5 sleeping rooms alltogether. If you go through the entrance you can pass a separation door and enter a loft-style approx. 50m2 room. This room has a huge wooden table, on the opposite of the room is a 160cm large bed as well as an extractable canapee (for children). It is equipped with a satellite TV (Astra and TNTSAT, mostly in HD), as well as a BluRay player. The view out of the appartment is stunning, and you have 12m below the large garden with terrasses under the trees. You'll be all for your own and enjoy the sun and the nature. The roof of the house if fully ecologically insulated (hemp), therefore even in the hottest month you can enjoy the freshness of the appartment. If you drink your apéritif in the late afternoon in the garden accessible taking the small pathway around the house, you can see royal eagle or vautours flying high over the cirque. Nature pure, orchids, hiking, swimming, photography...:-)) We restored the house to our highest standards with all our love, we expect from you that you keep this place in the same shape you got it at the beginning...thank's! Rentals are for vacations of at least 5 nights. Please don't smoke in the house! Bring your own Bedding and towels, we'll let you know the right sizes. The owner might occupy a room in the lower levels of the house, totally independent of the rented space and accessed through another entrance. Guest access The entire home is available to guests. We reserve the right to live in the lower part of the house, independent of the rented accommodation.
