Recently refurbished to a very high standard, our home has been designed with comfort and a calm, welcoming feel in mind. It’s an ideal place for families, two-family groups, or anyone who wants room to spread out and enjoy a quiet break in a the Cumbrian Countryside. Our home has three large bedrooms including an Emperor bed in a mezzanine above a freestanding bath. Large windows make the most of the views, and each room has been furnished with high quality bedding and comfortable mattresses so everyone gets a good night’s sleep. Downstairs, the living spaces are cosy and relaxed. The sitting area has plenty of comfortable seating, a big TV and a Sonos sound system for film nights or lazy afternoons with the log burner on. There’s a modern, fully equipped kitchen with everything needed for proper cooking, plus a separate utility room to keep on top of laundry for longer stays. One of the highlights of the house is the verandah, which looks out over the garden and the Eden Valley towards the Lake District peaks, who's silhouettes can be seen along the horizon on a clear day. It’s a lovely spot for morning coffee, reading in the afternoon or simply sitting outside to enjoy the peace and quiet in the hanging chair. The garden offers plenty of space and uninterrupted countryside views, and the changing light across the fields makes the house feel connected to the landscape in a very natural way. Ravenwood is fully electric, well insulated and equipped with ultra-fast 1Gb/s fibre internet, making it especially good for guests who need to stay connected or who want to work remotely without interruption. The house has parking for 2 cars, including a Tesla EV charger, to cater for guests travelling with multiple vehicles or electric cars. The location offers a mix of rural calm and easy access to surrounding towns, walks and viewpoints. It’s a great base for exploring the Eden Valley, the Lakes and the Pennine hills.
