Description
Nestled in the rolling hills of the Brohmer and Helpter Berge bird sanctuary and the Klepelshagen nature reserve lies Gut Neuensund – a baroque estate dating back to 1780. Just 1.5 hours from Berlin, you’ll find absolute tranquility, historic buildings, a beautiful swimming lake, and unspoiled nature. You’ll stay in the west wing of the former inspector’s house, part of a U-shaped estate that encloses a 4,500 sqm courtyard and spans 8 hectares of land. The space The west wing of the inspector’s house at Gut Neuensund offers you plenty of space and tranquility: four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a cozy living room with a library are available for your private use. Rooms 1 and 2 can be connected, and Room 4 has its own en-suite bathroom. Rooms 1 and 3 each feature a double bed plus an additional single bed. The living room can be equipped with an extra bed for 1–2 guests upon request. In addition to your private space, you’ll have access to the spacious shared kitchen, which is shared with the east wing apartment and one separate double room. The kitchen is fully equipped and ideal for cooking together. Towels, bed linen, and toiletries are provided. Each room has a traditional tiled stove, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere on cooler days. Right next to the house you’ll find a wood-fired outdoor sauna, which can be used for an additional fee. We also offer breakfast or catering upon request. A local host is available on-site to assist you at any time if needed. The estate grounds span eight hectares and are open to you throughout your stay: a 4,500 sqm courtyard with seating areas, the enchanting Lenné park behind the manor house, a barbecue area, and a fire pit with wood and charcoal available on-site. In our small farm shop in the former cider house, you can purchase local products and drinks. The large historic granary is available to rent for retreats, seminars, off-sites, or private events. It accommodates up to 150 guests but is also ideal for smaller groups. Just 1.2 km away, the Schmiedegrundsee offers a peaceful swimming spot with a small dock. Hiking trails begin directly from the estate and lead through the surrounding nature reserve. The Szczecin Lagoon and Ueckermünde can be reached in around 30 minutes by car – as can many opportunities for birdwatching and exploring the natural landscape. Gut Neuensund is located within a protected nature reserve at the northernmost edge of the Uckermark region. From Berlin, the drive takes around 1.5 hours via the A20 (Strasburg exit). Arrival by train is also easy: the ICE stops in Pasewalk (25 minutes away), and the regional train stops in Jatznick (15 minutes away). We can arrange shuttle service from either station on request. Gut Neuensund is a place for peace, retreat, and nature – and above all: for space. Plenty of it. Other things to note High-speed internet is available via a fiber-optic connection. Parking is free of charge. If you're traveling with a dog, we recommend booking our east wing apartment – it has a private entrance and is dog-friendly.
