Family-friendly home in the heart of the 'tree streets' area next to Casper College. The neighborhood is pure small-town Americana, the neighbors all get along, and kids play across the open yards. The community is safe and quiet. It is a great place to take an evening stroll under tree-lined streets with mid-century built homes. Our home provides a large private fenced backyard and open living spaces. A family-owned, and operated Air BnB, the hosts live next door. The home was built in the 1940s, with a recent home renovation we tried to maintain the charm of the mid-century build while adding modern updates. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. The upstairs bathroom is small with a bathtub and shower. The floor plan is open for the living, dining, and kitchen area. There is a set of steep stairs to the basement with a sturdy handrail. The basement has a living space, workspace, bathroom, and bedroom. The laundry room is also located in the basement. We have a baby gate to help parents manage little ones around the stairs. There are stairs to get into the house, anyone who can not climb stairs should not book our house. There is a driveway to park your car off of the one-way street. We have a lockbox for self-check-in. We live right next door so are able to help quickly if any assistance is needed, otherwise we give our guests space to enjoy the area. We live right next door so we are available to help when needed. We want you to enjoy your time so will give you as much space or company that you want. In the summer, we will be watering in the lawn in the mornings. We don’t have a sprinkler system so we will try to let our guests know when we plan on watering. For guests staying longer than a week, we will have to mow during your visit, again, we will work out a time so you’re aware. The street was featured in Reader's Digest as Wyoming's Nicest Place. The neighborhood was built in the 1940s for workers at the Standard Oil refinery and the entire neighborhood is filled with mid-century charm. The streets are lined with cottonwood, elm, poplar, and fruit trees. The neighbors all know each other and meet on the lawn to catch up. It is conveniently located next to Casper College, and downtown. It is a great place to enjoy small-town America, and slow down. Casper has Lyft and Uber drivers if you don't feel like driving. Casper has also recently partnered with Bird Scooters, if you download the app you can pick up a scooter and cruise around. We are close to downtown (1.0 miles) and the college (0.4 miles). There are two carbon-monoxide detectors, one in the basement and one upstairs. Each bedroom has a fire alarm as well as two others. One above the staircase and one in the hallway upstairs. A radon fan in the basement bedroom keeps the house radon-free. Most homes in Casper with basements are susceptible to Radon, and a home without a fan might have high levels of radon in the basement.
