The space The Cape Cod Tiny House is just a short walk to the lake, camp fire pit and docks. Quiet Hours/ No Parties For the comfort of our guest, we are serious about tranquility. Quiet hours are in effect from 9 P.M. to 9 A.M. No parties, loud music, raised voices or screaming kids at any hour. Self Check In Instructions with details for accessing the rental unit, directions, where to park, Wi-Fi password and such are found in the Airbnb app after the booking has been made. Directions The Silverlaken Estate is on a rural road. Please be respectful of neighbors by driving slow on the dirt road to keep down dust. Please make sure you are clear about the directions and know the location of your rental unit before you start your drive to Silverlaken. Do not drive around the neighborhood looking for the estate and never knock on a neighbor’s door to ask where is Silverlaken. The map and directions are very clear, but if you have any problems, please contact your host. Housekeeping Linens are professionally dry cleaned and a starter kit of towels, toilet paper, soaps & shampoo is included in each rental unit. As we do not have full time staff, long-stay guests should know that on-going housekeeping, top up of starter kit items and replacement of linens is not provided, unless additional fees are agreed in advance, before booking is made. Before check out, guests are expected to do their own dishes, remove trash (refuse bins are centrally located onsite) and place used linens in a pile. Green Energy The Silverlaken estate is powered by solar panels. Consider an environmentally friendly approach and use the fans rather than AC when possible and turn off lights/electronics when not in use. Dark Sky Commitment Bring a flashlight as we intentionally limit lighting between the buildings to reduce light pollution and enjoy the night sky. The advantages include an increased number of stars visible at night, reducing the effects of electric lighting on the environment, improving the well-being, health and safety of both people and wildlife, and cutting down on energy usage.
