This listing is for sole use of the site including 3 beautiful wooden cabins with private patios and a Bell Tent, plus shared showers/toilets and kitchen facilities. Surrounded by nature, it's situated on the border of the Forest of Dean and stunning Wye Valley. The site is in Staunton – a mecca for walking and mountain biking. A small and family friendly glamping site comprising 3 accommodation cabins, Bell Tent, a shared kitchen facility and shared toilet/shower cabin. In total the meadow covers about 1 acre and has a lovely rustic feel. We're popular with walkers, mountain bikers and kayakers. We welcome families with children and well behaved, friendly dogs. Our meadow backs onto local woodland where you can strike out onto abundant local trails. We invite you to switch off and rejuvenate surrounded by nature. Enjoy a fire pit while gazing at the stars, or savour a coffee or glass of wine on your private balcony. You’ll often see rabbits, birds of prey and other wildlife. This listing is for SOLE USE of the site and includes: CABIN 1 - ‘DOWIES’ A large cabin with vaulted ceilings and flooded with light, comfortably sleeping 4 people. - An open plan bedroom / lounge with double doors onto the patio - Beds that can be configured as 2 singles + double sofa bed, or king + double sofa bed (please specify when booking). CABIN 2 - ‘MALLARDS’ A large cabin filled with natural light and comfortably sleeping 4 people. - An open plan bedroom / lounge with double doors onto the patio - Beds that can be configured as 2 singles or king (please specify when booking) - Bunk beds suitable for 2 x children or adults up to 185cm CABIN 3 - ‘CANNOP’ A small, cosy cabin with luxurious king bed, 2 armchairs and a coffee table. ALL cabins include: - Tea and coffee facilities - A mini fridge - Dresser, coffee table and soft furnishings - Bistro table and chairs (outside) - Electricity sockets and lighting - Bed linen - Panel Radiator BELL TENT - ‘BUNJUPS’ (SEASONAL*) A cosy canvas bell tent sleeping 2-4 people. Includes double bed, 2 futon chairs which convert easily into 2 x single beds, rugs, and a coffee table. WINTER BOOKINGS: please see our separate listing which excludes the use of the bell tent. **With this SOLE USE booking you can choose which cabins your guests sleep in and configure them to suit your group** SITE FACILITIES INCLUDE: - A communal kitchenette cabin with basic food preparation facilities (fridge / freezer; dishwasher, sink, microwave; serving bowls, cutlery, plates and glasses for 16-18 people) - an outdoor BBQ/cooking area with 2 x 4 gas hobs. - An honesty shelf stocking some basic drinks and provisions - A toilet/shower cabin with 2 flushing toilets, 2 showers and a handwash basin. - A festival vibe ‘party deck’ with 2 picnic tables and beanbag seating, offering stunning views across fields and local woodland. This area also has free WiFi coverage. - Offroad parking 20 metres from your cabin. - Secure bike storage / lock-up if you need it. - Badminton net and boules - Sole use is exclusively for use by you and your guests - Hot tub available! We’re situated up a farm track, making this a very peaceful, tranquil spot away from the roads. However, Kiln Cabins is just a 3-minute walk into Staunton village. **We also have a separate listing for the Lime House - enabling you to accommodate additional guests** OUT AND ABOUT If you make it out of the property, you'll find Staunton to be a welcoming village with one of the best foodie pubs in the area. The White Horse is 5* reviewed on Trip Advisor and stands out for its ambiance, amazing main dishes and delicious vegetarian fayre. Staunton is most famous for its forest trails, and you’ll find abundant footpaths from the house. This includes the Wysis Way, an 88km route, and in the other direction, local loops around Stowfield Quarry. With bikes, it’s easy to access Symonds Yat and the rest of the Forest of Dean. The Wye Valley AONB is an outdoor-lovers' dream, popular not just with bikers but climbers, walkers and canoeists, too. Whatever your chosen activity, you'll find plenty of recommendations in the guest book. The historic market town of Monmouth is just a few minutes’ drive and offers two theatres and a bustling high street with many unique and independent shops. There are several good supermarkets (Lidl, Waitrose, M&S) and a leisure centre. In the other direction, picturesque Tintern is well worth a visit for its impressive Abbey, crafts centre and Old Station. Guest access This listing includes sole use of the site - so you won't meet any other guests aside from your group. Other things to note Guests must clear up after their dogs. Please supervise children. Noise to be kept to a minimal between 10:30pm and 8am out of courtesy to our neighbours. No loud sound systems please. Guitars, singing and low level music is welcomed.
