A cosy house to get away for the weekend. Enjoy the outdoor setting, bbqing on the patio or sitting by the fire pit in the lovely big garden with highland cows as your friendly neighbours! Dogs welcome! The space A warm and cosy house with a log burner and smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. A Well-equipped kitchen with a gas stove and electric oven, fridge-freezer and washing machine. Complete with a good selection of spices, condiments, tea, sugar and real coffee to make you feel at home. Other supplies such as toilet roll and hand soap are provided, along with fresh towels and bed linen. Plenty of parking right outside the house for at least two cars if needed. Other things to note Blackhall Mill is an old mining village at the bottom of the Derwent Valley, surrounded by two big woodlands, Chopwell Woods and Milkwell Burn Woods. The Riverside Bakery is just on the corner of the street and is a popular place to get some breakfast or lunch (also famous for their huge cakes) that will certainly set you up for a day of exploring the endless trails by foot or by mountain bike. You can get onto the old railway cycle and walking path, the Derwent Walk, from the village too, with scenic views over old Viaducts. A great location, only half an hour drive from Newcastle, Durham and Hexham. There are some great places to visit with your family, Beamish Museum, Tanfield Railway, Chopwell pump track, Hall Hill Farm, Gibside National Trust, Knitsley Farm shop. If you want to go a little bit further afield, you are only a drive away from some fantastic walking with stunning views in all directions. Head West or North to explore Northumberland, East towards the coast or South to the North Pennines, take your pick! The Feathers Inn is an award winning local pub with outstanding food just up the road in Hedley on the Hill. They have a bakery on Saturday mornings 10am to 12 noon.
