Köveshegy Guesthouse
Description
The Köveshegy Guesthouse in the heart of the Balaton Uplands is a kind of "island" for those who want to relax, recharge and relax, which creates an opportunity to return to our roots and return to nature in our noisy, accelerated world today. In this spirit, in the Mediterranean place, solar power supply and water use are also in the spirit of awareness, as well as thick stone walls instead of air conditioning provide pleasant coolness in the most natural and yet comfortable solution. The space The Köveshegy Guesthouse is located on a one-hectare southern grassy area with some fruit trees, on the border of the Káli Basin and the Tapolca Basin. Looking out, there is a beautiful view of the valley surrounded by the witness mountains, in the distance with Badacsony and Lake Balaton, with shady walnut trees in the southern part, which create an ideal shade for children's playful activities even in the summer heat. The area is one of the oldest wine regions in Hungary, the only place in the world where the Blue Tongue is grown, so there are countless opportunities to satisfy the gourmets of wine and gastronomy, and hiking lovers will find inexhaustible beauty to conquer in the area: Csobánc Castle is opposite the guesthouse and can be reached by a 1-1.5 hour walk, Kőtenger, Ingókövek are at a similar distance, the Tapolca Spring Cave, the famous Káptalantóti Liliomkert farmers' market is a few minutes by car, and it takes ten minutes to jump to Lake Balaton to swim or do other water sports. From the wooded hillside on the east side, the forest dwellers of Köves Hill also visit from time to time, and we can quietly watch them peacefully retreat before our eyes. As in all natural places, there are arthropod visitors inside the house, which is also part of the place. In a place like this, one can experience again that we are one of the many living beings that fill the planet, which form this sensitive and beautiful ecosystem. Barbecue and campfire are possible in the designated places with special attention to the regulations of the fire bans, we also consider it important due to the spirit of the place to protect the environment and the National Park as much as possible and to preserve it in the state it is currently in. Please provide drinking water, as the water is not piped, it comes from a well, you can easily do this or other shopping in Tapolca, which is 10 minutes by car, Lidl, Tesco, Aldi is located on the outskirts of the city. Have fun 😊 Guest access Guests can use all the interior rooms of the house, the first basement, the entire garden area and the outdoor compost toilet. There are locked areas, such as the second basement, the small storage outside, the two attics, the garden tool storage and the cabinets with padlocks. Other things to note The road to Köveshegy Guesthouse is gravel on one section after leaving Diszel, and then continues on a short cobblestone road. All kinds of vehicles can use this section of the road, you just have to pay attention to the 5-minute uphill section of the mountain, if another vehicle comes in front of you, one of the cars has to be backed up to a grassy parking lot, but this never causes a problem. The Köveshegy Guesthouse was converted from an old stone press house into a guesthouse, so it has an address, but you will not necessarily be able to use it in the route planning programs, however, the GPS coordinates of the accommodation 46,87629, 17,51784 clearly lead visitors there. Well water is introduced to the accommodation, so please provide drinking water. You can easily do this from one of the shopping places in Tapolca, which are located on the outskirts of the city (Lidl, Tesco, Aldi). Since the Köveshegy Guesthouse is an eco-lodge, it operates with renewable energy sources, so please reduce your water and electricity consumption as much as possible in the spirit of awareness, of course, while meeting your comfort needs. There is a compost toilet in the garden, this is the most gentle way for nature to do such activities, it is very easy to use, the description of which can be found inside the building. Please avoid listening to loud music, other loud noises late at night, respecting the peace of other people living and resting in the area. But since the Köveshegy Guesthouse is located on a one-hectare estate, under natural conditions, harmonious community activities do not usually disturb those living in the environment.
