Enjoy a stay surrounded by seasonal nature in a fully private space featuring two queen-size beds, a living room with a wood-burning stove, a functional kitchen, and a private bathroom. [A special dining experience in a writer's studio] The kitchen and dining table at the lodge feature one-of-a-kind pottery created in the on-site pottery studio.Brewing coffee in a cup made by the owner, a ceramic artist, and serving up local ingredients—those seemingly mundane moments become a little more special here. Please let us know if there are any items you would like to purchase.You can also enjoy a pottery-making experience at the on-site pottery studio, available by reservation. About 90 minutes from Tokyo, and also about a 30-minute drive to Karuizawa and Kusatsu Onsen.Enjoy the luxury of doing nothing, surrounded by campfires, forest walks, and the flickering flames of the wood-burning stove.For a quiet moment with family, friends, loved ones, or just for yourself. Other things to note Please confirm before booking ・The facility is located in the forest of Kita-Karuizawa, and we recommend coming by car. ・The location is difficult to access by public transportation alone. ・Please be sure to come with studless tires in winter (around November to April). ・The neighborhood gets quite dark at night, so it is recommended that you arrive before sunset.Please avoid arriving after 6:00 p.m., especially when there is snow on the ground. ・The main source of heating is a wood-burning stove.A kerosene heater can be used as supplemental heating. ・There is no TV or air conditioning, but you can enjoy a quiet and cool stay in the forest.
