Loveview Cottage is a cosy, beautifully kept two-bed cottage in the heart of the lovely village of Painswick, ideal for couples and friends looking for a relaxed break together. From the moment you arrive, it feels warm and welcoming - a place to settle in, enjoy long conversations, and take the pace down a notch. The space Set in the heart of Painswick, this Grade II listed two-bedroom cottage is full of warmth, character, and quiet comfort. Thoughtfully restored, it offers a relaxed place to settle into village life, with everything you need close at hand. Inside, the sitting room centres around a handsome fireplace, creating an easy space for slow evenings, conversation, and unwinding after a day outdoors. Two comfortable bedrooms provide peaceful retreats, complemented by two well-finished bathrooms — ideal for couples, friends, or a small family sharing the space. Original features and traditional proportions give the cottage its sense of history, while the layout feels practical and welcoming. Step outside and you’re moments from Painswick’s shops, cafés, and pubs, as well as walks through the surrounding countryside. The village sits directly on the Cotswold Way, and the much-loved Rococo Garden is close by for seasonal colour and quiet wandering. Dogs are welcome, making this a great base for long walks, muddy boots, and relaxed returns home. Whether for a short break or a longer stay, this is a cottage that feels easy to arrive at — and hard to leave. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy all areas of the house; however, we kindly ask that you use the side entrance rather than the front door when entering the property. We also request that the basement remain off-limits during your stay. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Other things to note Due to the age of the property, there is reduced head height in certain areas, specifically on one side of the bed in the top bedroom, and the stairs may be steep for elderly or less mobile guests, though grab rails are provided for assistance. This is a non-smoking cottage. Outdoor security cameras are located in the back door area and are monitored only in the event of a security issue, as guest privacy is of utmost importance to us. At Loveview Cottage, we want to ensure you have a cosy and enjoyable stay with us! During the cooler months, from October to March, we’re happy to provide firewood to help you get that perfect fire going. We do our very best to supply enough firewood for your first night’s stay during this time—think of it as our warm welcome to you! However, since keeping up with an unlimited supply isn’t quite feasible for us, we kindly ask that, if you’d like more beyond that initial amount, you source it yourself. Most local shops around here stock firewood, so you’ll have no trouble finding some nearby. From April to September, when the days are longer and warmer, we don’t provide firewood as part of your stay. If you’d still love a fire during these months, feel free to bring your own or pick some up locally—those same shops have you covered year-round.
