This fully self-contained home is air-conditioned and features a large swimming pool with a spa bath. It is situated on a 1-acre block, providing a true sense of a holiday retreat. The property is just 1 minute from the world-famous Daintree River, thanks to its location within the Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can explore the natural surroundings and take in the beauty that it offers. There is an abundance of native birdlife, and you can simply enjoy the peaceful sounds of birds singing. Located only 200 meters from the Daintree River boat ramp, you’ll have the chance to spot saltwater crocodiles and observe local cattle farming. The house is just 5 seconds from the tour desk, 10 seconds from the coffee shop, 15 seconds from the pub, and 30 seconds from the walking track—everything you need to enjoy your Daintree experience is right at your doorstep. We are very rural and surrounded by Daintree National Park. We keep the lodge very clean (check our reviews) but you might hear the geckos in the lodge or find small bugs flying near the light. To help everyone have a relaxing and safe stay, please take a moment to read these house rules before booking. ⸻ 🌙 Quiet Hours To respect our neighbours and comply with Douglas Shire Council noise regulations: • Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. • During this time, please keep voices low and avoid outdoor activities that create noise. • No audible noise between 10 pm and 7 am. • Loud music, shouting, or parties are not allowed at any time. ⸻ 🏊 Pool Use • Guests may enjoy the pool day or night, provided it’s kept quiet after 10 pm. • Please supervise children at all times. • No glass items near the pool area. ⸻ 🧍‍♂️ Guest Numbers • The house accommodates up to 6 guests only, as per the booking. • Only registered guests are permitted on the property. • No events, parties, or gatherings are allowed. ⸻ 🚭 Smoking • Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property — indoors or outdoors. • This includes decks, pool areas, and garden spaces. • Breaching this rule may result in additional cleaning fees. ⸻ 🐾 Pets • Pets are not permitted at Jabiru Stay. • This helps protect the local wildlife and maintain cleanliness for all guests. ⸻ 🔇 Local Council Regulations Under the Douglas Shire Council Environmental Protection Regulations, guests must: • Avoid making noise that can disturb neighbouring properties. • Keep outdoor noise to a level that does not exceed 5 dB above background during the day, and no audible noise between 10 pm and 7 am. • Avoid the use of loud devices (music speakers, power tools, etc.) outside of permitted hours. *Failure to follow these rules may result in a fine from the Council or termination of the stay.
